Ok, thank you

@Смузи

literally just read the description (and title). It says right there it is obsolete and has the link @KingOfTheGays posted.

I'm also not playing right now anyway. Modding is a hobby, not a job
Lepchuck 14 Nov, 2022 @ 9:04pm
and why the creator of this does not want to update?
Lepchuck 14 Nov, 2022 @ 1:36am
please update the mod as it is very important.
Vaeringjar  [author] 23 Sep, 2020 @ 4:31pm
Alright folks, this mod fork is now obsolete.

I tried updating it and change the package ID for everyone to notice the update but I must've messed something up in the process :/
Vaeringjar  [author] 21 Sep, 2020 @ 1:13pm
I've had cases of actual plagiarism, and seen some so I may be a tad paranoid, sorry about that.
CrashM 21 Sep, 2020 @ 12:47pm
I didn't notice your source code was included with the mod as i uninstalled it pretty quickly after installing it due to the name conflict. I did have a look at the decompiled code of Smart Colonist Bar, but couldn't get my head around how he did the caching so just abandoned it and created by own. I have added credit for your inspiration though.
Vaeringjar  [author] 21 Sep, 2020 @ 12:30pm
I may have misjudged, but I did provide source as well as the name of a similar mod which does use a caching system and also provides source.
CrashM 21 Sep, 2020 @ 11:07am
I just uploaded the latest version of my source for you to check that i didn't use your code.
CrashM 21 Sep, 2020 @ 10:43am
Who didn't i credit? I rewrote my own mod to be faster as i don't have the source for yours and didn't copy anyone else's code after forking Porque's
Vaeringjar  [author] 21 Sep, 2020 @ 6:39am
@CrashM
A typically unspoken rule in the modding community is credit attribution. Not cool.
CrashM 21 Sep, 2020 @ 1:16am
@DarkArtistryNKP It was... now my version runs as fast as (maybe faster) that Prorque's
DarkArtistryNKP 18 Sep, 2020 @ 7:21am
@Punished Bombyu
In comparing the note details listed on the Original Vs the CrashM one. The CrashM version add's a number of Optional icons and details that the original doesn't have, I can only assume that is were performance issues come in.
Bombyu 17 Sep, 2020 @ 3:03am
when you said everything was removed except for the background mood-colour and the breakbox, that they are the two key features. but does the main mod even do anything beside that? there were other features?
Hugh Mungus 16 Sep, 2020 @ 9:51am
Has anyone tried comparing this to the new version of the original in terms of performance? How does the new version stack up?
Vaeringjar  [author] 14 Sep, 2020 @ 7:18am
Right, everything was removed except for the background mood-colour and the breakbox, which imo are the two key features.
n0nchalanc3 13 Sep, 2020 @ 10:27pm
So what stuff was removed from the other version?
Vaeringjar  [author] 13 Sep, 2020 @ 1:09pm
Aye, I'll do that next time I have a reason to upload/update.
Vertigo 13 Sep, 2020 @ 8:45am
You should change the packageid so if an issue comes up in the future it can be reported to the correct mod author/maintainer. Otherwise you might get bug reports for something @CrashM changes and vice versa. Since yours is the newest fork, it would fall on you to change the id.
So 13 Sep, 2020 @ 6:29am
@Vaeringjar Great news that worked, thanks for the tip! :winter2019cooldog:
So 13 Sep, 2020 @ 5:51am
@Vaeringjar I'll give that a try. I had the other deactivated, but will try the uninstall method. :winter2019coolyul:
Vaeringjar  [author] 13 Sep, 2020 @ 5:49am
@So, only sub to one of them at a time
So 13 Sep, 2020 @ 5:48am
I noticed this error yesterday also I had to uninstall it and go back to the original it kept removing itself while still giving an error and had to be uninstalled and reloaded just to repeat the process. Look forward to the fixes. :winter2019happybulb:
CrashM 13 Sep, 2020 @ 5:32am
It's just that it errors when loading if they are both installed (even if only one of them is enabled)
Vaeringjar  [author] 13 Sep, 2020 @ 5:25am
@CrashM
Good point. They would still conflict anyway though, since they patch the same thing by prefix and return false ^_^
CrashM 13 Sep, 2020 @ 5:21am
Hi, you should use a difference packageId in the About.xml as it is conflicting with my version. I will be looking into improving the performance of my version.
So 12 Sep, 2020 @ 3:02pm
Cool and third :winter2019coolyul:
Randware 12 Sep, 2020 @ 4:40am
