This mod is now a silent bomb. With it enabled, you game crashes when you try to save (auto or manual) if your realm size is too large (about 1-2 kingdoms), so if you start as a count/duke it'll be fine for a while until you expand to the point where it suddenly isn't.

I am working on a mod for abdication- and I want to apply the refuse modifier from this trait in it- may I use your scripted_modifier ?

@Task Start a game and look into the error log. It will tell you which files are affected.

@Ramuné do you know which file/files are the issue. UTF8-BOM should be for localisation files, unless paradox has decided to change it recently, which wouldn't surprise me tbh

According to the error.log file, your mod files are using the wrong encoding. Please change them to UTF8-BOM.

You overwrote elector_voting_pattern_traits_feudal_elective_modifier in scripted_modifiers, making it only take into consideration the refuse election trait, which is also the modifier that handles the compatible traits like diligent vs lazy, you just need to copy the current vanilla elector_voting_pattern_traits_feudal_elective_modifier and add the has refusal trait at the end to make it work properly

@whuchurface this mod does not touch any vanilla files, not sure how it could have but as stated earlier royal court may be incompatible.

You overwrote all of the bonuses/maluses for personality traits, sins/virtues, etc.

Using with Royal Court, works fine for me

RC changed a LOT of stuff, would be worth revising this mod in light of that. I'm getting closer and closer to a vanilla experience as I shed mods that RC broke and which aren't getting updated. I'm playing England games with 867 start dates just to keep HRE stuff at arm's length.

@Charles IV -- I don't own royal court so wouldn't know where to begin if its changed that much. It is just a decision that adds a trait so unless royal court has significantly changed elections it should still work

Can you update this for royal court? Without this mod the HRE is unplayable

in the fame trait description you've written "[character name] Has refused all notions of holding elective title." but the 'right' way would be "[character name] has refused all notions of holding an elective title".

@LeonTheProfessional for RP purposes mainly. I Initially created the Austria decision mod to RP forming the duchy as a Habsburg, so getting elected got in the way so i created this :)

Can someone briefly explain to me the reason for wanting to refuse being elected? This mod is obviously very popular, but I don't really get why. (I haven't played as a vassal in an elective empire).

I don't know if you'd be interested in adding it (and I apologise if this is a bit too forward of me), but I made a new trait icon that is more in-keeping with the overall CK3 aesthetic which I've uploaded HERE [www.dropbox.com] for anyone who'd be interested.

It's essentially just the elector envelope symbol in the 'negative' (red) trait circle. I thought that was better than adding any title-specific symbols (like double-headed eagles etc) since the decision/trait applies to any title with elective succession, not just the HRE.

@Herr Wolf ✠ should work fine as is unless something drastic has changed, not played in a while but should just be a version mismatch

the spanish folder in localization needs to be all lower case

looked into it, my local copy works fine but my workshop version doesn't work either can only assume its steam borking the upload ive revert the changes for now should be fine minus spanish localisation
