Looks amazing, text is fucked up, and the navigation is awful. That first level is horrendous, even if it is up from there. Only other positive is the secrets. nice easter egg hunt.

How exactly am I supposed to cross the second suspension bridge in the catacombs? I've been trying for two hours and I die every time.

Hey, I can't find "documents" in mission 2 part 4 - scientific research laboratory. Been going in circles around the base for hours. Please help. Thanks.

This addon works normally in 5.0, but the text content have wrong correspondence, just like "MP40"→"STEILHANDGRANATE","PPSH"→"STG44". It should be fixed.

First of all, this addon ACTUALLY WORKS (shame on Capuzzo, Devil's manor and basically everything that Yoshik did)
ANYWAY

This addon is challenging but now awfully challenging, its using pretty much the same gameplay recipe as the original game, except the fact that locations are REALLY big and qute maze-like

Level design is great tho, each room has its purpose aesthetic-wise
The variety is also great, there's a village, a castle, a dungeon with undead, a couple of forest levels and also lab levels

Finally, there are secrets, which are hidden quite good

Very enjoyable overall

The atmosphere is very like the original game (especially for zombies fans) but the lack of direction/clear map progression takes a lot away.
Going through an entire map to kill 4 enemies makes a previously closed door open (which is too often on the far side of the maze), but none will tell, why would anybody think your time is valuable?
Small bugs like when picking up weapons, they often bear a wrong name, and lack of consistency with doors gets tricky: some are closed and marked as such, some are marked as open but aren't, some are inactive, with so many doors leading to so many doors, it all could be more clear.

Castle level is great, with good enemy placement and timing. Labs are a cumbersome maze, with a nice Far Cry look. I liked the Indiana Jones traps (though levers in small catacombs rooms are a give away), nice ideas, (many) maps and story, lots of secrets, overall a good RTCW experience. Thanks!:Spirit:

I think you should redesign the first 3 maps.
WhereTheFunBegins 23 Jun, 2023 @ 11:01am
Ignore the more critical comments, this is easily the best mod I've played for RTCW. Sure there might be some annoying secret areas and some maze-like maps, but the quality is there. The levels are just the right length, the enemies are just challenging enough without being overly frustrating, and the story is very stolid. Builds off of real history surrounding Nazi projects to develop flying saucers. Ultimately this is a very high quality story and mod, which is incredibly faithful to the vanilla game. It genuinely feels like dlc or a sequel.

It's heart is in the right place but this is the most annoying mod i played so far. Enemies camping all around the place and the maze-like overdesigned levels with the flip a switch/push a button dead end. Going back to previously locked door, now with more camping enemies spawning on your way back to actually at least tell you that it's the right direction. Some very rough small rooms with tanky enemies like the catacomb fire demons (abuse their rising animation with knife attacks i guess but still). Lot of secrets are plain nonsense too (grab a chair and climb a hidden ladder at a tree trunk, interact button on random wall piece while hiding the icon prompt). This mod also made me sick of kicking in doors, quiet the achievement!

Decent map pack plagued with some confusing, labyrinth-like map design and awful switch/door-hunts where you're somehow supposed to know where to go after passing through a point of no return. Apart from some grammar issues and weird voiceacting, the presentations are pretty okay. The saving grace for me was the MG42 for the later levels which thankfully runs on same ammo as Venom Guns. If someone were to remaster it, add more armor and health. 3/5

Looking for a mod that comes close to capturing the feel and atmosphere of the original game? Look no further. This was a very enjoyable campaign mod that was only hampered by difficulty and sometimes confusion on where to go. There are English cutscenes and original briefing screens and the maps are VERY well designed with many different passageways to go. Some maps can be a little too ambitious and end up confusing but you will find your way with time. There are secrets in every map which are difficult but rewarding to find. Highlights include the village and crypt levels, castle level (this was seriously impressive), and the "X-Labs" themed level. There was also a level that started off on rails on the back of a truck which was different and neat. This seriously could have been called "RTCW: The Lost Levels", the design was that good. Flying Saucers gets 5 stars from me.

An update now I've completed this mod. The very early maps are not the best and do this mod a disservice. Once I'd ground my way through the first three maps the mod improves dramatically and I'd go so far as to say that the fourth map, and some of the later maps, are as good as any commercial maps I've played. So, stick with it. It's a lumpy experience initially but it really improves and turns into something that's well worth your time.

I don't like to talk badly about mods as they're free and made by enthusiasts but the map design on this mod is tedious to say the least. I don't like maps that are labyrinths and I'm never a fan of maps where no matter how skilled you are you will take damage regardless because the game is designed to punish you no matter what. E.g. on level two there is a room containing three guards. In the room there is a 25% armour but on average you will lose about 15-25% armour clearing the room unless you clear it multiple times until you fluke a clear run in the room. It's easier to avoid the room altogether which feels like a shame. Also the bullet sponge enemies is tiring. It's a shame really as I've played a number of mods through to get achievements but this one is like pulling teeth. :(

Level design sucked big time.

Playing it on Realism is straight masochism. Backtracking to an "empty" room to get shot by enemies aiming straight at you is sooo fun. Their health got huge boost too - troopers that took 2 rifle shots, now takes 10. Catacombs are almost unplayable - some random brick you've got to hit (not interact) to open doors, no supplies against bullet sponges. Being trapped in a small room with 4 zombies without ammo is just nonsense... On Railhead map, you can easily soft-lock - enemies won't come out of the elevator, if you destroy 2 alarms before any gets turned on. In general I feel like some maps are artificially inflated, one even starts with long and empty valley.

Overall, I would quit it multiple times already if I weren't such achivement whore. I was willing to play through all of it legitimately, but it got so ridiculously painful I had to cheat my way through...
MSA75 8 Aug, 2021 @ 3:21am
I absoliutely hated the catacomb level. What felt like endless tiny rooms filled with frustrating, pointless fights against scores of enemies without any health or ammo to speak of... I got so frustrated with it that I used cheats to get through. I just stopped caring at that point. Now I'm wondering in circles around the pointlessly huge castle trying to find the "transportation". Agh.

How can I open the door of a stone house in the graveyard in mission 1?
MSA75 5 Aug, 2021 @ 7:11am
Nice campaign, my only gripe is that sometimes it is extremely cryptic what you have to do or where to go. You end up wandering around and around the levels after killing every enemy, wondering where to go next or what to do.

I already had the mod prior to subscribing to it, but since today, there's a weird probelm with the briefing screens and clipboards, with the text showing up as a jumbled mess.

Depro ma man ure killing it ! Thanks so much for catacombs level for Mosin Nagant and PPSh-41 I believe :D Nice secrets I found just a few if I remember. Forest mission nah the second mission its outstanding but the fact ull be getting from those catacombs to castle and therte got so much shootout I love. Imagine to combine a campaing enemy castle to yours part in castle. That would've been perfect. I am really glad for u to create this and ofc WolfETPlayer for uploading this stuff I believe hes done it. For those who complete RealRTCW and looking fore some maps and ure there and wondering its worth ma time then I'd say fuck yes brothers ! Play it until get bored !

Don't let the cheesy name fool you - as far as the vanilla experience go, this is pure gold. I have still got campaigns to play but I am pretty sure that they won't be able to top this one for me. Apart from a few slightly modified textures, no custom content is included at all. Yet, Depro offers one of the few campaigns that come pretty close to following the original's aesthetics, flow and gameplay. Nearly all of visual themes you come to expect from RtCW are utilized to create moderately detailed, smoothly flowing maps which are even more intricate and overlapping than the original's. No 2 minute A-to-B runs here either - every single map takes around 20 minutes to fully explore and conquer. Congrats to the authors, this was indeed a blast to play.

This mod is freaking awesome! Locations are large and made with a thought. There is some backtracking, but without noobish concept "run through the map to pull a switch and then all the way back to the exit". Many enemies to kill, even on your way back so you know you're making progress. Story is simple and great at the same time. Without unnecessary blows and whistles. Maps themselves do the job. Secrets are not placed randomly - you have to look for them to find them. I must say, Russian version is killing it and sounds professional, while English voice lines seems to be very amateur and not really pleasant to listen. Some of the riddles were for me too difficult and I had to spend long time searching the walls for a button to open door - remember to set your brightness high enough to see everything clearly.

Quite good mod!
