dang, do you know any other mods to substitute it @TrueChaos

I've unlisted this mod due to issues with it that I will never have time to fix.

does this mod work?

Would love to see this get updated to fit the max level cap of 35 or a fix so that leveling past it is possible!

I was worried it would be an issue with the exp value overflowing. There's nothing I can do to stop that happening unfortunately (not without totally rewriting the exp rewards for everything, which I don't have time to do or test), but when I find time, I'll make a version that's the same but with level 35 caps.

This game really slipped down my priority list so I haven't had time to really play or mod it lately but I'll try find time this week

Hey True, i have the same Problem, after lvl 35 i go to lvl 1. Its a Exp overflow bug (bit integer?) maybe u can change it`? Or u patch max lvl to 35 please
TrueChaoS  [author] 6 May, 2021 @ 10:55pm
If you can write the actual amount of xp you have around when issues happen, then that would help me figure out if the issue is related to a number overflow, or if it's a weird issue with hard coding the level cap somewhere else that will need to be fixed.

I'ts been quite a while since I played DOS2 but I'm really curious what the issue with the mod is. Whether it's a number overflow causing levels over a certain point to bug out, or if it's something else. When I have spare time I do want to look into this, I just can't promise when

@Priestelar Yes, I said I made it to level 34, but it is unable to go past there, so you can not get to level 100, so you getting to level 33 means absolutely nothing as to the mod not allowing you to get to level 100, so what is your point? You could always get to level 35 without the mod, so your comment is worthless as to the issue it has.
Priestelar 6 May, 2021 @ 2:52pm
I started a new game, played through till lvl 33 and didnt run into any issues with the scaling of this mod :) all went well on my end

Okay, so a minor correction first. Whatever character I play, be it a created one or an original, they are level locked at 34, and companions are locked at 36. Now, as for the mod, it still does this with or without the boosted Xp. I am cool with it though, so not really a thing for me. I don't get to be level 100, but I also don't need to be, so for me, the mod is great. No complaints.

I don't know if it's a glitch or what, but this mod only half works for me. I get the boost from one skill section going from 5-10, and the next one going from 10-20, but the level cap keeps me at level 34 as a created character, and 36 as one of the originals, and the companions are stuck at level 36 as well. I thought at first it was because I had used a trainer to give myself boosted XP, to test out how the mod works, but without actually playing without this boost on a new game, and playing through most of the game to get to level 34, just to see if it stops, I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue, as I do not see anyone commenting on the use of a boost. Any thoughts about it? I am going to create a new character, and see what happens without the boost, just wanted to check before putting in all that time.

ya, i heard that bcz the original game has a limit on level is 36.... I am level 36 33% exp, then i kill some monster get exp, suddenly it shows level up, and all rolls become level 1, and get no more exp...
Priestelar 3 Feb, 2021 @ 12:15am
im near lvl 30 atm, ill let you know if that happens to me
TrueChaoS  [author] 2 Feb, 2021 @ 7:09pm
That's weird. It's been a few months since I played the game but if I have time I'll look into it, that's the first I've heard about that bug
3D.Hins 2 Feb, 2021 @ 5:48pm
when i got 36 level , then i will become 1lvl when i get some exp, is there any way to solve it?

Priestelar 16 Dec, 2020 @ 8:52am
thank you for making this! it was the one thing missing from the divine scaling mod :)
Purple Heart 7 Nov, 2020 @ 7:20pm
Seems to be working fine.
TrueChaoS  [author] 7 Nov, 2020 @ 6:13pm
No clue
Purple Heart 7 Nov, 2020 @ 11:46am
Will this work if I use it alongside Divinity Unleashed?
TrueChaoS  [author] 18 Oct, 2020 @ 4:40am
It's not required, but without any way to increase the amount of exp you can earn (which that mod achieves by leveling everything up with you), the major purpose of this mod is useless.
tomoscar 16 Oct, 2020 @ 4:58am
Is Divine Scaling required, or just recommended for better balancing?
TrueChaoS  [author] 30 Sep, 2020 @ 1:09am
It is specifically titled "SoftLevelCap" so if it referred to something other than level, then that'd be a case of poor terminology on the back end.
Cylek 30 Sep, 2020 @ 12:01am
I thought the soft cap prevented players from adding more points, where as the main cap is where stats stop calculating more points. So with this mod, the cap being 100 means that if a stat is at 101, it wont calculate that extra 1.
TrueChaoS  [author] 29 Sep, 2020 @ 7:28pm
That's interesting to know. I've been keeping an eye on the comments (or lack thereof xP ) in case anyone raises any bugs that I need to address. If there's any wonky scaling, that was going to be my first place to look
toko099o 29 Sep, 2020 @ 10:37am
The soft level cap is there as a look at to what level people should be by the end of the game. I think in the backend it is put there as a quick reference (I could be wrong on this, I just saw it in some strange places).
It could also be a way of xp scaling, but I couldn't find anything supporting this.
