Super human enemy AI, Helo fire in all directions absent a Helo. Enemy Locating you from miles away in the dark while prone using a silenced sniper rifle. I'm out.

@Netflix And Phil, I know :) This is Arma behavior. I didn't code this. They're really aware of where noise comes from. They do kind of launch the whole barracks at the valley after you do the hit so it gets crowded. It's easy to get spotted with all the eyes looking for you. But if you move fast and stay low you can certainly get out of there. You do have a bit of time before they arrive, and should use every second of it to get a head start! Thanks for playing!

To all: Thanks guys, I made this scenario almost 4 years ago. Ocasionally someone comments, but always with kind words. And it never fails to make my day ;)

Was really looking for a little scenario that included sneaking into position, sniping an hvt, and exfilling. This definitley hit the spot. My only complaint is how quickly the enemies snap to exactly where youre at once you kill the hvt.

superb. quick, stealthy, pure fun. but...it says 1/1000....i think it can be more dangerous...like more patrols from target to heli?

this was an insanely fun mission, spent a lot of time on it. If you're a fan of Splinter Cell, you'll love this!

Thank you amooei!
I dressed up the hill camp a little more. Added patrols, an attack boat among others, cleaned up some waypoints. Added a few little ambiance improvements and fixed the extraction helo from going airborne before the player gets in.
Enjoy everyone :)

Hey Williow,
Yeah, there was one patrol in the gully in front of - Guess I was lucky, since the ai-guys never turned around. was about 100m behind them.
Ahmadi 15 Feb, 2014 @ 11:22am
rated up nice work but try to put a small camp near that artillery armored vehicle with some AA launcher missiles is good idea!
Willow  [author] 14 Feb, 2014 @ 1:13pm
ArgH I love those gully's too, I always travel through them in stealth missions, but you were lucky if you got through them without patrols, at least 3 patrols periodically touch the NW gully.. :) I had some frightening encounters there :) Thanks for your review!

*** Played it on default, no mods***

Great mission. took me about an hour. :-)

To avoid patrols I took a long swim to the church with the contact person, keeping my distance to the beachline. Getting to the contact and getting out there was easy, no need for a kill.

Took the NW gully uphill (very good cover) from church(contact person) to get close to target area without getting caught by the patrols in the area.
At target area I took out the one poor guy on patrol duty and went into the building - taking out another two guards and the HVT (pulled this one off quickly, they never knew what was hitting them.
To get to the extraction point, I took another gully NW of the compound, which also provided excellent cover from the approaching enemy heil. Circling Mt. Kira clockwise, I approached the extracion point from W without any trouble.

Suggestions:
- Enemy patrol boat near contact

Loved it...Had to pause it and load my get away music at the end...lol

Great fun! I don't think I walked a single step! Ran the whole way! Except when I was on my belly!

Pretty good. It got pretty tense a few times where I almost got spotted. That's good.

Like mentioned before, it might be a good idea to just rename the contact until there's actual priest robes you can use. Another improvment could be a some fortification/camouflage near the artillery piece. It looked a bit bare up there on the hill.

I also liked the music you included.

Could you remove the Dependency and OtherMap tag from the description? Afaik the scenario doesn't require any mods, nor is it on another island.

Thanks Doge! :) I loved making it!

Very fun mission. The ending was great, gave me an MGS or 007 feel. Loved it!

I am thanking you again, for that great mission! And yes... all the civillians have that looking... Not exactly a war looking... I was in Altis (Lemnos is actual name of the Island) a few times in the past years and Bohemia was done a fantasic job, representing the environment of the Island! They "failed" somewhat in the appearance of the locals! They are not all of them surfers!!!
Willow  [author] 4 Feb, 2014 @ 9:47am
@ot5u9v thanks for the compliment. I'll be sure to try to shoot the target from that angle usually I stick to the south of the house. Going in shooting is quite doable. Since the AI is unfortunately pretty stupid indoors. With one door into their room they'll gladly guard the opposite blind wall :/ And yeah... "Priest" is kinda incognito.. I'd wish for there to be better outfits but really all the civillians in that game look like they're about to jump unto a surfboard. I think the outfits are not fully done yet.
Skurtus 4 Feb, 2014 @ 4:58am
Well, after my meeting with "ptiest" (That was the only weak point in the story! But I didn't mentinon it in my first comment, for I do not know if a Greek Orthodox Priest figure is available in the game editor), I decided to aproach the villa from the mountain side. I spot patrols on the mountain and I aproach very carefully... Crawling I aproach the NW side of the villa. A patrol passed less than 20 m behind me, but they didn't spot me, probably due to a bush behind me... It was more than obvious, that any atempt to enter the villa, was doomed, so I start checking the windows and I spot soldiers into the first two rooms on the first floor! Another one on the room on the ground floor! I Keep dispaced to the right, and then I saw the HVT through the western most window of the first floor... After that I run like hell!!! I also run into patrols, (I almost run into an armored vehicle!), but I manage-by luck?-to avoid them... I great mission!!!
Willow  [author] 3 Feb, 2014 @ 3:32pm
How on earth did you manage that ot5u9v? I have tried to snipe the target but I couldn't get an angle without going into the house. :) The least I managed was 3 kills! And usually I end up with more due to running into random patrols on the evacuation.

@icjinu. I decided on the light clothes to make the character faster for what is essentially a one hour "hit and run or die trying" excursion. Heavy loads are going to be less useful than moving quickly and stealthily in such a situation. Ghillie suits in real life are also quite heavy (and tend to overheat the wearer) and they only really work if you're lying in ambush or just not moving. But thanks for trying the mission! sorry that it wasn't more to your liking ;)
icjinu 3 Feb, 2014 @ 2:45pm
Sorry couldn't go through with it. One man deep behind enemy lines wearing a bandana, shades? and a battlebelt. Clear skies and full moon... You would pick bad weather or at least cloudy so it's dark for consealment. Wearing a guille suit maybe. And maybe a fragmentation protection since the job is to take out HVT therefor expect combat.

A daring mission indeed!!! And higly realistic too!!! So far, only a couple more missions, from those I tried, were so realistic!!! The place is, as it should be: Swarming with patrols!!! Only one bullet fired: The one against the Target! No weird bugs also. Thank you for a so enjoyable mission!
