Fixed Large solar panels acting as small panels.
Moved stir+trib to Power (instead of Infrastructure).

i have the same problem like the other guy, solar grid is shown as big solar panel but only produces like the small one, no option for Stirlings + Tribby, may i suggest adding some sort of layout with artificial sun?

Big wind turbine layout broken at all, wrong placing. Error with big solar panel that counts as small. Small wind turbine layout works fine. Didn't use others.

Works fine here.

You gotta enable mods in mod manager to use them, if that's not what's broken then saying what's broken helps me fix it (log files also help).

Just came here to post the same thing...already posted to the Paradox Forums, because I thought it's some issue with Picard, but alas it seems that the large solar panel layout truly only produces two energy per large solar panel instead of the 5. It's also not just a tooltip error.

It also wasn't "on" this time when I started the game, despite the fact that it was in effect on a save that I hadn't enabled it on before. I'm not really sure what's going on with it lol.

A few more details: when you place the layout, they are labelled as just solar panel, and they take the same resources, maintenance, etc. as a small solar panel, but they take up space and use the large solar panel model on the map. I built a few things then placed the panel array then saved shortly after. I hope that sheds some light on the issue. There are a few oddities in the mod.

Instead of zipping all my logs, I think I will just delete them all, restart my one game, and reproduce the issue in one log.

Hey, I realized earlier this evening that some of the layouts misplace buildings, like if you build the "bunch of large solar panel" or what have you it builds the large panels but they have the power production of regular panels, so instead of 5 power they give you 2.

It also seems like turning the offline copy of this mod off and starting a new game does not actually remove the layouts, so perhaps the code may be duped somewhere or the game itself is doing something bizarre there--not sure.

your "first" building is at 0,0 then you get to figure out where the other buildings go (you'll need the origin hex of them, the one they rotate around). It's slow and boring if you've got a few to add.

How to create my own layout? I don't have a particular layout in mind but something like dome with apartment and service slice inside, self sufficient dome in different size and different variation of service slice and park slice (eg, shop, playground and nursery).

I saw a layout capture mod in nexusmods but unfortunately it is not working and not updating also (https://www.nexusmods.com/survivingmars/mods/131?tab=description) . Is it possible to capture a build and add it as a layout?

Large Panel Slice has wrong icon. I've been thinking it's Large Solar Panels in a slice, not small Solar Panels.

I have a late-game logistics hub layout that I like to use. What do you think? Design goal was to be compact, secure, and diverse. More or less symmetrical because I definitely like things being symmetrical. I'll typically lay these out in a grid across the map as I expand, connecting them with tunnels on the east/west sides. Sometimes another pipe along the north to connect the piping together, especially if I'm going to be building a water extractor up there. https://imgur.com/a/vJhOE8F

Can't think of much else that I build in a regular enough pattern and frequency that isn't also context/breakthrough dependent to make sense as a blueprint.

You know what else would be cool. A couple large slice variants of parks using the alleys in nice, connect paths with additional rec pieces, like a pond or garden, as alternates to the existing large park. Like these:

Not sure if it would be better as a 2x2 or the 3x3. And debating whether it makes sense to include the small turbines in the gaps. I usually build them, but they aren't as cost efficient.

Any particular layout you want for the stuff you mentioned below? Screenshot if you got it.

I'd guess the hub is just to keep an eye on the plant rather than anything else (if you're going for green across the whole map).

I would not include a drone hub and forestation plant in the same layout since they have different ranges? Although a forestation plant and seed depot would be top. Tbh a nice QoL feature from the main devs to create your own layouts in game would be nice

Doesn't really work with your expanded radius for the artificial sun, though. No worries, found a large solar panel mod with increased output.
