some of my stats





~ replaces normal sentry and can only place one
~ cost is 160 metal
~ Shoots in a arc and right click to make it stop in its place
+ 50% faster construction time
+ click the third button wheel to activate a camera facing the way it was shot
+ 20% extra ammo on sentry
- has 6s Reload speed
- uses 20 metal when using the camera
- makes flying noises when is idle

it should have a targeting system (similar to the medi-beam, but only for enemies), and if you shoot it at someone who is "Targeted", it will slowly chase them, until it is destroyed

I used to have a similar idea to this that was a "mini dispenser" that would float in the air and die after a while

This is actually really cool for a concept of a 'flying sentry'! The only thing I can imagine for it to be balanced is have the shooting of the sentry have a meter that needs to be filled, like throwables, that must recharge fully until the sentry can be re-deployed.

its the mobile gunslinger MOBILE GUNSLINGER you know how op it woud be ???

i have some stats that could be balanced (or underpowered in some cases i guess with the gunslinger,but despite this weapon being super unique im hoping they add this into the game as it would definetly be game changing!) but heres my idea for the stats

-50% max metal on wearer (aka you only have 150 max metal)
-upon deploying sentry:consumes 150 metal and takes about as much time as a mini sentry to start up (slightly faster)
-unable to place sentries via construction PDA
-15% sentry damage
-50% max sentry health
+25% slower firing speed (basicially makes the sentries shoot slower than mini sentries or lvl1 sentries)
+sentries last forever until they are destroyed
+can be paired with the gunslinger to add +10% sentry damage
+can have 2 sentries at once (like the disposable sentry gun in mvm)

im sorry for a lot of stats i just felt like it would be pretty balanced if so =/

I think this is really cool, but for how small it is and how weak it is I'd say that it should not have a 15 second life. But it would be cool if this tottaly repaced the sentry, and like the hacked security droids in Bioshock 1 & 2 it followed you around. With stats like:

-75% less health
-50% less damage
-Non upgradable
-Very loud and easy to shoot.
+Follows you
+Repairable
+Funny looking.

This may be completely differnt from this current flying sentry, but I still think something like this would be awesome and balanced.

I don't think it would be a very effective weapon, but I do think it would be a fun one.

A flying sentry is a good concept, however this looks highly impractical. The model itself looks as though it's a drone with the capability to fire a few .22 rounds, and that drone being unable to fly for anymore feet that you are able to throw it. I would suggest having a more gyrocopter-based design to be better incorperated with the tf2 aesthetic, and some better weapon than a pea-shooter. What about a buzzsaw? Seeing as how this is a suicide-sentry, and you are throwing it, it could fly towards a target and rip through them before they can react.

Reminds me of the drone item Mega TF made back in the day here the engineer launched it forward and it'd shoot people while it flew through the air till it eventually self destructed or was destroyed by an enemy. Had a really big cool down as well.

Beautiful but uh... how do you build your teleporters, and dispenser? This would have to be a wrench replacement, so I'd say you'd also need launchable teleporters and dispenser, at the cost of being unable to repair them.

Don't get me wrong, this a cool design. But the idea of it is horrifying. Imagine, a tiny red/blue object that can come out of nowhere and deal insane amounts of damage to anything at a constant rate. Oh lord please no!
