quick question and very important reconmedation; can you change this so that the Universal health care tenant (that applies to all 3 ideolgies) works on national wonders added by this mod?

Posted screenshots on the CivFanatics thread.

ya, sorry, I meant it was in the civliopedia, I'll try and get some screencaps sent over to you ASAP.

Sidewinder, is this in the civilopedia or in the city production area? Is it something that could be captured in the screen shot? If not, do you think you could send me your database.log and lua.log?

I'm getting some wierd bug where one or two wonders like the national college are appearing in the buldings list and not the national wonders list, I stripped all my other mods out and its definately this one thats causing it, I think the ironworks is another of the national wonders thats displaced, might want to look into it at some point.

I think this mod needs a warning for those of us who like to use a lot of building mods like those from thecrazyscotsman. I'm thinking a mod like this should be used without all those new buildings.

I've mentioned to him that I think his mods need to have newer age buildings replace older ones because cumulatively the effects can be staggering. When coupled with this mod, well let us just say that the amount of gold I'm making in the atomic age is staggering. (Of course the Corporation mod doesn't help either)

In the mod Oxford give the +50% Science that was removed from the National College.
zArkham4269 29 Apr, 2014 @ 2:29pm
Okay, that's what I thought. What *do* you get instead?
Machiavelli  [author] 29 Apr, 2014 @ 2:15pm
Harvard University? Do you mean Oxford University (the National Wonder for Universities)? This mod does change Oxford so that it doesn't give a free tech (the free tech is given by the National College).

Does this mod conflict with the Harvard University? Twice now I've built it and got no new tech. Or am I just missing something.

I agree, do post here if you decide to take on the request. Thanks.

Ozymandiasxcv, I do like the idea of going with something like an "Order of Knights" theme for West Point. It does seem more apt to the time period that players will be in when they can build the National Wonder.

As for "Race for Religion" and "Reform and Rule" those should be out within the week. I'm doing final testing on both of them now. I have some sneak peaks of the changes in the CivFanatics thread.

kmelt, I is certainly a possibility. I do like the idea of making the kind of land a player has access to change the value of buildings or Wonders. Such a Wonder may ultimately work better as a World Wonder of some kind rather than a National Wonder.

Or perhaps reference the numerous military treatises that advanced strategy in that time. Coincidentally your namesake wrote extensively on the subject of warfare https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Art_of_War_(Machiavelli)

Oh and keep up the great work Machiavelli! Your mods are definitely some of my favorite and I love to see such active modders in the community. Also do you have a timeline for when the updates to reform and rule and race for religion will be finished? I saw that you mentioned you were revamping them and I was very excited.

How about renaming it to better fit the middle ages timeline? Perhaps name it the Tower of London or the Chateau Galliard.. That would fit the theme of knights and such. Just a suggestion!
Machiavelli  [author] 25 Feb, 2014 @ 8:56am
Yeah, it isn't a great name. I picked it because West Point was the name of military national wonder in Civ 4.

My only quibble is that West Point (founded in 1802) seems a liitle anachronistic with the invention of steel..

Rzemsky, this mod doesn't change any of the visuals, it only adds new National Wonders.
rzemsky 21 Feb, 2014 @ 3:49pm
Does this mod change what cities look like in the game? or is it simply a mod on national wonders??

Great Mod loving it!

Sounds pretty damn great, will give it a whirl together with R&R and Race to Religion.
