I just had something weird happen which I assume is related to this mod. Exclave independence just triggered, but when my liege won a war against a peasant revolt. There was no change of ruler. I assume that shouldn't happen.

I did add this to a save game though, so I don't know if that may have had some odd interaction. I don't believe I have any other mods that modify the same files.

Great mod. Would be nice if you could adjust the settings seperately for players and AI. Mostly the naval distance setting would be nice to have seperate values.

@Holy Roman Emperor It's not under maintenance per se, mainly because of the fact that I made this mod as compatible as possible with any future updates that don't change the exclave independence code. So I don't really need to do much maintenance in the first place. Also yes, its not compatible with achievements.

@Emperor I looked through the Exclave Independence code and found out that Paradox made it so that when the game rule is set to Significant, it only excludes your PRIMARY De Jure title, meaning that if that De Jure title is not your primary one, it will still end up becoming independent. I can understand the confusion since in the description of the game rule, it only says De Jure title, not Primary De Jure title.

@Mongol12311111 I don't own the DLC so I can't really test it out for myself, however the chance of there being any kind of conflict with varangian adventures is very slim, I purposefully made the mod in a way so that it basically can't conflict with anything unless it changes code involving exclave independence, which I'm assuming varangian adventures dont.

@vaiirecti Just booted up the game and tested the mod, the rules most definitely still show up, make sure there isn't anything wrong going on with your mods.

hello I just want to know why my exclave became independent. I set the rule as significant and naval distance at 0 but still even when I have de jure counties it still become independent ex. Im king of valencia and duke of "mallorca" but still another npc taking over and become independent from me.

The exact scenario :
I was the king of france, inherited poland, and poland got destroyed because it was landlocked and noncontinuous from france(obviously Germany in between), I do not like that the game considers poland as part of the same realm as France. the game really freackin' needs a personal union mechanic :(

When you have 2 kingdom titles both with de jure land but you only have lands in 1 of them, game rule de jure requirement turned on says you are no longer be able to hold onto the 2nd one if you do not own land inside, but you do, because it is not counting de vassals:( when exclave independence is set to significant and range 500 it happened to me multiple occasion that I had 2 kingdoms separated by some land in between them, but the second title gets destroyed and all the vassal get free, I think this should be one of the exceptions to the exclave rule, or take away the title from me, and let the vassal elect their on king, it does not make sense for the kingdom title to get destroyed and vassal getting free.

@Mike_Stanley The mod should work with the current version of the game, and the game rules added with this mod are compatible with all the different types of exclave independence.

It seems as though the recent update broke the mod by changing the way the code for exclave independence is structured so I'll be working on an update that fixes the mod and adds some new changes. Hopefully I'll have it out by tomorrow

It seems that in the patch notes the Devs decided to handle viking raiding by having their vassals settle less. Unsure if that will fix the entire issue.

@Celticus I think either 250 or 500 are good distances that are moderate enough as to not be too restrictive while at the same time eliminating most horrible bordergore.

@Kothonis Honestly its hard to figure out exactly how far it is exactly, as it actually varies a bit from location to location and the unit is an arbitrary unit that is unclear. Thats why through testing I tried to give as much information as possible on what the different distances mean for gameplay when selecting game rules, so try to use that as a basis for your decisions.
