it is really good but kingdoms fall apart left and right. idk if there is way to dull down the sensitivity.

@Extourmed Not really, your game will then be forever paused without the ability to unpause, unless you play on multiplayer

@Erik_the_Uneducated I think you can play as baron using the consol and tagging a baron character, switching to play with him.

Is it possible to play as a baron? or is there another mod for that maybe?

How to make the Baron's children look for a marriage?

@Lewa: Ah, that's the same thing that I mentioned as a problem for the AI, it's just happening to you. Sadly, it's not possible to mod change that since all of that is hardcoded. Honestly, I was quite surprised that the core game even allows wars against your barons at all.

I tried this mod out and fairly quickly encountered a problem. I was in a tyranny war against my liege, and one of his barons from his domain county joined in. I sieged down a castle in the liege's castle in that same county, but that did not give me control of the county. I would need to siege down the baron's castle too in order to gain control of that county, but that's impossible when the baron is on my side in the war. So I need to eat the casualties for crossing an uncontrolled county if I move my troops any farther into my liege's land.

@Marven: Nice.

Update:
By including the lines unhashed I can make both mods compatible without affecting the performance of War Alerts when The Barons' War isn't used.
Morven 18 Oct, 2020 @ 11:04am
Hi, I've included two of your mod's lines into my War Alerts mod's on_war_started key as a quick and dirty solution to make both of our mods compatible, the idea being the user unhashes them manually if they want to use both. I'll see how that goes as a solution, otherwise I might do a compatibility standalone patch mod, or try putting in the lines unhashed if it doesn't cause the error log to explode when Barons' Wars isn't installed.

Is now updated to the current version of the game. :-)

On that note: This mod does work even when it is not up to date with the current version of the game. Only changes/bugfixes to the revoke title interaction and the claimant/liberty faction will be missing.

love this mod. thanks!
had a unexpected fun event when I appointed a baron with high martial and ambitious trait and he went on a rampage

not elections. long before that, usually a king designated his man for the office for a year or so. it was only later that said mayors didn't want to step back and gradually got more powerful, but in the end, citizens won the cities organized councils and allowed elections. similarily for barons. the best all of them could get, was the office/land until their death and after that the title went back to the ruler - but this happened rarely or only later
Lrds  [author] 25 Sep, 2020 @ 2:27pm
Well, for mayors that's true - there were elections, from time to time. Still, many mayors (or rather their city council) were reasonable powerful and they definitely didn't let anyone just mess with their affairs. Same goes for barons - why shouldn't they fight for their land?
Radanos 25 Sep, 2020 @ 2:01pm
mayors and whatnot in the middle ages usually held the titles only for a specified amount of time - probably that's why pdx cut their importance and so it's more accurate now.
Lrds  [author] 25 Sep, 2020 @ 9:37am
Should be compatible with everything that does not alter the revoke_interaction and the factions.
Borthol1224 25 Sep, 2020 @ 9:30am
is this compatible with unstable empires?
Rellom 25 Sep, 2020 @ 8:53am
Oh man, I mean, this is the best I have seen, when it comes to barons, and I will for sure play with it. But I just feel that Paradox should have given modders the option to make barons playable, and also the low born a more natural way into a house and titles. Hopefully that is something for the future. This is one of my biggest request, or just feelings of missing out on something, in this game at the moment, but this mod, is a step in the right direction. :steamhappy:
