For which map? The Rock? Both? I can add thimble reed seeds as a "balanced" version. The entire design intention for the map, as I assume by the developers, was to force the player to use space and the natural progression system to get the necessary resources (including atmo suits), I can release another version of the map but I wont be touching the default version as it seems to be working as intended. As you already stated, you can potentially get thimble reed seeds from the teleporter. It's extremely hard, but definitely not impossible to get the resources you need.

The way that the world generator is designed, you can't really have it set so that only one single biome is generated. I can make it so there's a decent chance that they will spawn in say, lets say an oil biome, and that will probably be good enough.

As a personal wish id like some forest for trees and alu.

However for a difficult yet well-rounded gameplay some tidepool with a geyser might be the best.
Access to saltwater, some chlorine and Pokeshells so you dont have to rely on hatch eggs to make steel after breaking into the oil biome.

There is however one big issue:
Currently, unless you get Thimble or Dreckos from the Pod,
Its impossible to make suits. Which is a problem. Especialy with the amount of space and magma on this map.

Is it possible to tweak the map generation so that only a single batch of a biom is generated?

@Vulkandrache Yeah. The standard design that was implemented into the world had even less biome diversity. I could release another version of it, but that was pretty much the standard setup. I feel like it was intentionally made that way to make it more of a torture to progress, or make it not even playable at all in some cases. Helicona has much better biome diversity and interesting things going on in it.

After going severals bioms deep i decided to dig up and eventualy found them as i had a hunch even without reading.
Its kinda weird mainly because Void looks really shit. Normal space might be better.
Otoh its quite fitting for this map, having to bring in resources from "outside".

What is somewhat irritating is the lack of biom diversity. All sandstone and ice is a bit dull.

As a sidenote; for something that wants to be a barren rock food is the least problematic of all the nessecities.
Between early Vole ranching and ludicrous numbers of sleat wheat there is an insane amount
of calories readily available.

The issue with The Rock was explained in the description. It DOES have the geysers, but a considerable portion of them spawn outside the "play area". You can still get to them, it's just a lot more challenging to find them.

The Rock is more or less the kind of layout i was looking for with a patchwork pattern of goodies and dangers.
However i cant seem to find and geysers. Like literally none.
Is the map just so big that im getting unlucky or are they being overwritten by the space and magma bioms?

Pretty sure they were included in beta, they were just never updated post launch
