Cool class, horrible balance. It feels like a worse huntsman with less range, strategy and the fact that you are muted just from reloading for a whole turn is really stupid. I wish I could upvote this but I had to downvote. :steamthumbsdown:

I've released an Update that removes the SP and Memory cost for all Special-Reload variations. The update should also reduce the rifle firing sound volume, as it was reduced. (It's possible, that the volume isn't actually fixed, in that case let me know, and I will make sure to release another hotfix.

Thanks for your comments and I hope you enjoy the mod. I hope you understand, that I'm not working on this mod anymore and have moved on.

@MDZ Kimchi too bad... this is the most original class mod out there for this game and the only one that is on my favorite,

IF you really will patch the volume, and if there is no much trouble for you, could you please take the source cost from the skills that add elemental damage as well? Or add a vendor of it own to avoid compatibility issues? Any of those are greatly appreaciated.

I tried to googled how to do it myself, but it seens that DOS2 mods are way harder to tweak when they are from another person than games like Skyrim.

Maybe I'll push a patch to lower the sound volume in a few days. Not really maintaining this mod anymore, but I remember that the sounds were indeed very loud, especially on speakers.

So i tested Musket. And abilities Huntsman works with Musket. But sound too loud, yes 😔

Is there a mod or an easy way to rebalance this mod? I don't know why the alternate ammo types require source points to use when Huntsman stuff doesn't. Especially when they aren't even close to power of a necrofire ray or a magma slug.

Using the WeaponExpansion mod, but the new skills the masteries says I'm supposed to get are not added to my character, and I can't find anyway to use them. Anyone know why this might be happening?

I'm not sure is it a bug or not, but how do I make Covering Fire skill deal any damage? I've tried long distance shooting and close quarters combat, groups of enemies and single targets, but there's no damage done to them, though animations and sound been playing and ammo was consumed. Otherwise everything's working fine by far (1st act). Maybe I've just missed some specific conditions or combos with this skill.

Hi Kimchi, doing another playthrough with your excellent mod! I'm curious, would you be able to clarify what levels the various skillbooks in this mod spawn at? The lack of Musketeer-based source abilities by level 13 feels a little off to me.

I adore playing with this mod, from the marking mechanic, to the incredible burst damage at the cost of next turn, alongside actual downtime and needing to think how to spread your ammo. It's a blast to play.
I especially adore the euphoria mechanic that really gives you a big incentive to take risks with your ammo. Hard to pull off, but it feels soo satisfying if it works out.

One thing I would love would be some form of support for crafting overhaul though. The ability to craft muskets, or to upgrade them slightly by using specific recipies. I always loved to tinker around a bit with that particular mod.

Update: No matter your level, the following spells will never appear in Fort Joy's huntsman vendors: Steadfast, Final Act, Tripwire Flare, Blazing Flare, all special reloads, Scattershot, and Seeker Strikedown. I tested this by using a method to get to level 17 in Fort Joy, and then rushing to Driftwood. They will be available from the huntsman vendor in the town square.

I am unsure if this is a bug or if this is as-intended, since it really could be either or. Just letting people know in case they wonder like I did.

So, I've gotten to almost Level 10 now in Fort Joy (due to mods that add enemy numbers and whatnot), with a matchlock. When are Steadfast, Final Act, the ammo type spells, and other stuff going to be unlocked at vendors like Butter? I understand Seeker Strikedown is later because it's a 2SP spell so you can't really get that before you have two source (at least practically), but I feel like I should have at least gotten Steadfast or Final Act by now... otherwise, a VERY fun mod.

@Werner Das Wachsame Wiesel, At level 7 you should definitely be able to buy new Spells, check the vendors that sell Huntsman Skillbooks, they will also sell Musketeer Skillbooks.
