With this mod enabled the normal great general also as the Federal General tile repair ability. Idk about the other abilities.

With Switzerland in the game, the city-state of Zurich is still present whereas I would assume this to be on the city-list of Switzerland. Can the city-state of Zurich be disabled or replaced by another?

Somehow its bugged, the UA does not work and units are asked to be upgraded with weird malusses.

The UA is very overpowered, you should lower it to about 2%, since it can currently DOUBLE your gpt in its current state

would you mind changing the bonus from cpu net gold to gnp? it kinda sucks if you're trying to get some neutrality bonus but they're negative

@JFD I love this mod so much,but I think perhaps there are something hard to understand in the game(BNW).When I bought a millitary unit with gold in my city already have Kaserne,I couldn't get the effect of +20% combat strength.Please help me!

I tried playing again with a different civ, Novgorod, and it appears that land trade routes are completely fucked.

I seem to be having a problem with this mod, I cannot make any land based trade routes at all, haven't checked sea trade yet but im assuming it will do the same. It is nothing to do with distance since im within 4 tiles of the city im trying to trade with so im assuming it is a bug. Don't know if anyone else has seen this.

Ay, I like this mod. Haven't verified that the 10% Gold tithe works, as others have reported problems, so I can't speak to that. Enjoying this mod for close to a year now - thanks!

It's a glitch, sometimes it shows up when you check you GPT sometimes it doesn't.

I have taken over a steam game playing Dufour and I don't seem to be getting any gold at all through the unique ability (my total gold is just equal to city terrain and buildings despite having met lots of civs).

Is there any way to check whether there is some error with how this Civ is playing for me? (I play on a mac).

It does not seem to return money from the AI even when fulfilling the described conditions. Otherwise nice mod.

Does the UA take 10% gpt from the CIv or does it copy 10% gtp from the Civ. Would it be better if both civs got a 10% bonus if you remain neutral so to incentivize not getting war declared on you?

Swiss is the lazy/stoner civ. You make money off of people who work to make their own money, and if people try to fight you, you can spam combat medics and soldiers to have unstoppable defense. Pretty OP, easy Diplomatic win, easy Domination win.

Maybe it's just me but Switzerland seems really OP. Since they are the only civ to not be at war with the allied city states of enemies, they can always buy their favor back with gold gifts easily, rendering you unable to do the same since city states don't talk to you during war. Makes going for a diplomatic victory a nightmare.

Ueli -> Short form of Ulrich odr Hans-Ulrich, very common in Switzerland.

Ueli? I've met someone with all of those names except Ueli - where is that name commonly used?
Gerda, Heidi, Ruedi, Urs are all obvious Swiss Germans, René is French, and Guido needs no explanation, but Ueli, while it would seem Schwiezerdeutsch, hasn't crossed my path...
Also there are plenty of kids with English names nowadays, in my class there are a Jim, Gary, Simon, Jennifer, and Matthias though none of them except Gary even speak English. And none of them have any non-Swiss ancestry except Simon, who is half French.

Not just important, but perhaps interesting for the next upgrade:

You named a swiss city as "Neuhatel". Its french name is Neuchâtel (châtel is the french form of "castle", both from latin "castellum"), its german name Neuenburg (Burg is the german word meaning "castle", the german "neu" means "new").

As to the spy-names: English is not one of the four "native" languages of Switzerland. Some typical swiss prenames are Gerda and Heidi (female), Ueli, Ruedi, Guido, René and Urs (male).

A possible solution to the free gold problem could be to have it be a percentage of the Average gold of the nations that are neutral to you.

It's an intriguing overall civ idea. Will likely try it after the gold UA gets rebalanced so it's more appropriate for larger games at higher difficulty. The manpower thing is nice both substance wise and flavor wise, considering Swiss historical mercenery past and how it forces you to make a potentially very significant choice when it comes to trading it away or not.

this mod needs balancing. i played it, and i got deity AI level gold. (10 000 ish with nothing useful to spend it on)

This sounds totally broken... So pretend for a moment there are 10 civs plus myself, and we all have a gdp of 100g a turn. So I'm making 300g a turn now?

20%? Does anybody know how OP this is in game, becauase it sounds like it would be. End game most players I know usually have like 100 or 200 gold per turn, for switzerland on a huge map that would be about 240 free gold per turn...

@JFD , love your work that you do, I subsribed to many of the nations that youve put in. I have a request though, you made Germany and the USSR for WWII, but could you make an Empire of Japan from WWII please? My friends and I would love to be able to subscribe and fav all your WWII civs when a Japan comes so we may have a WWII fight

Any thoughts to making the UA scale with the number of players in the game? Once WC is founded, in a 22 civ game you'll get four civs worth of money whereas in a standard game you'd get one and a half.
