It is annoying how blocks like these can easily take the place of actually useful equipment that randomly pops out of mission reward crates. So, while it is cute: As it currently stands, this mod seems pointless. If only these blocks did something useful or were part of a complete corporation...
What also seems rather pointless is most of the comments here. I had subscribed in the remote chance / hope of this evolving into something useful some day. But I'm unsubscribing now.
in the first case, many different cubes and a couple of guns from the mod were collected with the mod, after which the mod was deleted and the save was replayed without the mod, a singularity (black hole) dropped from the first chest
in place of the useless 4-5 cubes from the mod, after opening all 10 chests, a lot of valuable equipment appeared in the inventory, which was not in the first case, as a result, the mod was deleted and forgotten.

It is already possible to, at the very least, create a custom Cab block that actually works. Take a look at the TerraTech Mod Manager and play around with some of the mods. I think it's the Nuterra Block Injector Library which makes it possible. Also, I'm fairly certain it's possible to create a custom thruster block that works.

Agreed. If you want to make a Cab that is functional enough to be competitive with existing cabs to the point that people use it, then it will probably need more than 1 or 2 functional attach points.
