Is it really that irritating how such mods are marked in the mod-list as incompatible with the current Rimworld version? Or is it a big deal that these mods are missing the latest game-version tag? I know it requires a bit of effort, but we can just read the comments to see if someone can confirm that it works in 1.4 or whatever {latest RimWorld version}.
Either way, we can just subscribe to the No Version Warning mod to make RimWorld's version warning disappear. And just check the supported mods [github.com] list periodically.
Would it be possible for this mod to still remove the population limit by rewriting it in the form of a bunch of patch operations? Or is there some code limitations that make this unfeasible (aside from resorting to C# code/.DLL or using libraries like Harmony or HugsLib)?
I ask that because, currently, this seems to replace all the XML code for the default versions of the Cassandra, Phoebe and Randy storytellers. And I would imagine that doing it this way makes it more likely that it will conflict with other mods. It seems unlikely that it would remove the population limit for storytellers added by mods, for one thing. And I'm certain that I've seen at least one or two mods that, for example, make changes to orbital traders that would conflict with this because they also try to replace the XML code for vanilla storytellers in their entirety.
I went through my hundreds of Mods, and this was the one that did it. Whatever happened, something broke it.
I don't think something is working right with the LoadFolders, I'm getting prompts for things like
XML error: <incident MayRequire="Ludeon.RimWorld.Ideology">GiveQuest_WorkSite</incident> doesn't correspond to any field in type StorytellerCompProperties. Context: <li Class="StorytellerCompProperties_WorkSite"><incident MayRequire="Ludeon.RimWorld.Ideology">GiveQuest_WorkSite</incident></li>
