Absolutely love this thing, but by any chance was this inspired in anyway by the CFA-44 Nosferatu from AC6? In terms of appearance not exactly including the color, but the shape seems very similar

I've played with this for a while and the only issue with it on EA26 is the targeting whatever it's called has a black box around it so it takes up a bit of your vision and doesn't look as nice but overall the plane still works and looks good

1. i think i used a blend tree with the parameter set to smooth sight mode, like i would with a normal gun; i had to use an animator on each individual weapon component though

2. there's a handheld binoc version on the hdf testpack; it's more or less the same thing

How did you make alternate sight modes work for vehicles ? I want to make crosshair selection or GPS zoom control using alternate sight mode for my vehicles as well. I know that It requires using animation but how to apply animations to each sight modes ?

the railstrike due to how it works right now does not give you any credit for anything it kills
any slaughter inflicted may be reflected in the scoreboard/bot death counts

Yeah I see your point, it's just kinda weird when... you know what, nevermind. As for it being a pain to track the Type3, that's the point. It's a night operations jet, meant for stealth and GTFO situations. You do have a valid point about the bigger trails, I should probably make mine a tonne longer too. I just made the suggestion because in one of the pics, the Talon had spawned in and the trails were showing that it had dropped half a metre or something. Anyways, nevermind my suggestion.

the type3 was something of a pain to track because aside from blending in with the skybox, which itself is kind of clustered with background ships, the trails on that for example came off as super faint

it was bad enough that i couldn't tell how far away i was from all the planes i ended up chasing, and had to rely entirely on lock-ons to figure out where planes were

meanwhile the bigger trails on the impaler and talon made it way easier to spot a plane and go chase it

though either way if i ever did a spacemap myself, come to think of it, i'd prefer a background that was cleaner because despite initial spectacle that map is kind of a mess to fight in

or i could not go and fiddle with turning the trails on and off and just leave it as-is; the trails are meant less for accuracy to how they actually work in real life, and more for gameplay functionality

while it may not be realistic to see a long and clear trail from far away, it makes it a lot easier to track planes when dogfighting them which is one of the things that came up actually during a playtest i did on that old battle for coruscant map
