In mission 4 I had the problem that objectives were not completed too - didn't occur in my 2nd attempt of the mission.

Really liked the missions - would be greate if there ever were a second part

For some reason when I have to "find the fleet", the objective completion requires that i basically get fired at by the super missiles, which with the map's open ocean w/zero cover, is just a straight-up death sentence. Why would i need to get within firing range when the EOTS found the fleet 20 nautical miles ago

the mission is amazing, but for some reason on the fourth mission it never completes the "cover grim's squad" objective, even though it activates the head to kushima airport bit

This is my favorite campaign for the F45. The fact that you have to do a lot of vertical take-offs limits your loadout but not in a artificial way, and the story is really the cherry on top of the cake.

This is my favorite campaign in VTOL VR. It's simple, memorable with a nice emotional twist. The music choices are kino af, and the final mission was brilliant. II would absolutely love to see this updated for the new patch to allow for weather and you can actually now set the final mission to take place at Dusk/Sunset? Could you do that? It would make landing on the ship so much more emotional to cap things off. c: Hope you're doing great.

I like the way you tell the story in the game. And I like the fact you used a oil platform as a base of operation. Also, the choice in Misson 5 is great. And even you just flight from A to B in Mission 6, the feeling of closure combined with the music is great!
This campaign feels very fresh in comparison to the others.

One of the best F45 campaigns I played, very nice story and combat. Only things I didn't like is enemies spawning in after getting close or after a set event. Other than that, I hope you make the P2.

2) And on the fourth mission when you locate Liz's transport, it's the same idea; as soon as you ping the vehicle with EOTS, the Kestrel makes a beeline for it and it's total RNG whether it gets shot down by MANPADs, but more often than not it does. The workaround was eliminating the MANPADs before pinging the vehicle so the Kestrel doesn't try to land, but feels like clearing the LZ should be an objective requirement first.

Besides that, appreciate your good work! Campaigns like these keep the game fresh

Excellent content, yet another workshop campaign that puts the vanilla to shame.

Only gripes is whenever the Kestrel is concerned:

1) On the third mission when it's going in to land, more often than not it gets shot down immediately as the MANPADs spawn in with the 'destroy boats' objective; you have no warning and little chance to deal with them until you know where they spawn and are lined up ready to take them out in the small window before they get a lock on the Kestrel - perhaps have them already spawned on approach to the island so you can take them out alongside the AA?

I quick-saved after triggering destroy boats *on miss 3? the landing party one?* and the escort def crashed and burned 3 times before I got lucky lol, still, the rest was great.

Great campaign. The voiceacting is a tad off bit that's nothing compared to the quality of the missions. The RP is great and you feel part of an underground PMC group

Pretty sure on the first mission my jet's clipped into the floor due to a new update probably, but I can't move laterally or vertically.

Fly it to this theme. Launch from the carrier on the drop. Fly at military power and burn it for the finish before coming in for a landing. If you time it right, the Title Drop hits right as the song ends.

You can use overloud in the config file, by setting it to true, then pressing o when loading into a mission. that doesnt even require any mods, or the use of the modloader.

My one issue, the game seems to almost change in tone dramatically with the skybox applied when Clouds are Enabled in the Multiplayer mod. Without Clouds on, the skybox is like another game.

I could personally do without the clouds as they tax my system too greatly, though they are beautiful... but the skybox alone shouldn't require the clouds to be enable to get right? Is there any way to get the game to look like that without the Cloud feature?

Also any way to enable clouds without the MP mod?

I think by kestrel bug he's referring to the mission where you have to take out the air defenses and boats on an island and wait for the team to dispatch. It's like the third mission I think. First time the team got on and off the Kestrel no problem, but then every retry I did the kestrel just wrecks.

@SupaPictave, Thank for the feedback, I experienced that bug too but I don't thinks it's something I can fix with the mission editor. Tho it's rad to fly in very close formation.

Salut l'étranger, très bonne campagne, scénarisée et tout, très bon boulot. Dans la mission 4 là, juste un fail potentiel à signaler, en escortant Kestrel vers l'île au début, si on reste en formation serrée trop longtemps il ne va pas modifier sa trajectoire, et au choix se planter au sol ou rater son approche de l'hôtel de ville et se planter aussi. Au message radio à l'approche de l'île (dans lequel Liz annonce qu'il faut se la péter un peu en atterrissant sur le toit), il faut quitter la formation et laisser de la place à Kestrel pour qu'il puisse manoeuvrer. Je pense que c'est dû à l'IA en général, pas la mission.
tl;dr in English : in the beginning of mission 4 if you escort Kestrel in a close formation for too long, it will fly straight ahead and likely crash in whatever is in front of him (most likely the island itself). Breaking formation a few miles away from the island will allow him to manoeuver properly and prepare his approach on the city hall.

In Mission 4, Deception, the Kestrel fails to take off vertically from city hall building if coming from a saved game. It will just roll off the edge of the building into the ground. If not playing from a saved game, it will take off vertically just fine.

just played the whole thing in one go (I say that's the best way to play this campaing) and gotta say, incredible job, missions are really well made, and story is actually interesting (wasn't expecting that in flight sim) + I really love how music fits into action of last mission

I pushed an update for Mission 03 as attempt to improve the AI Kestrel Behavior:

• Replaced order "Land With Direction" by a simple "Land At"
• Added Helipad on Landing waypoint
• Reduced Kestrel Orbit and Land order navspeed to 100 m/s

I played twice and didn't encountered the bug with those change. Let me know if it helps.

Great campaign thats really good for beginners. The storyline was interesting and the TTS announcer made it quite "entertaining". Most I've ever laughed during a briefing! :)

I thoroughly enjoyed flying "The Dusk Cell" campaign. It is thoughtful and includes just the right balance of story, flight skills and combat skills. Great job!
