@Vindkast Sadly, I can't remove the drones, because they are the main light sources of the indoor segments and I don't want to have disembodied lights everywhere.

favorite one so far, mostly because the gimmick is very fun. Also makes it much easier to do these races with the hoverboards addon, since sliding doesn't send you flying off anywhere you don't want to be.

Your tracks would look amazing in BallisitcNG imo. I recommend getting with someone like Radracer256 or Enai Siaion in order to possibly port over the GM maps over in BallisticNG.

@Roderich Yes I am, because that joke started on gm_futuropolis_circuit, which is also one of my maps. I also referenced it in gm_neonpolis_circuit.

@OwOchi ACF is Armored Combat Framework. It's an addon with a bunch of stuff to make tanks, but car builders use it mostly to make cars, because it has an extensive collection of working engines, gearboxes and fuel tanks.

what are your go-to vehicles to race on these tracks? Regular cars feel clunky and slow, and planes and such are too fragile and big.

I absolutely love it. I biggest problem is that you can't use nextbots on it. If you try to use the nav generate command, it will go until it reaches mesh visibility 25% then your game will crash. Doesn't happen on any other map, and I think it is because of the moving obstacles, but, other than that, amazing job

Hey, I've been following your maps for a while, I love these futuristic racetracks. If I may, if you're looking for more sources of inspiration, try looking at the Speed Racer videogame from 2008. A track based on Thunderhead or the Grand Prix would be amazing

@Nerd Koopa Makes sense. I know literally nothing about making maps so i'd figure i'd ask if it were possible. All your maps have been great so far for testing out a zero-g vehicle and generally just being fun to play.

@Paperdragon You mean the scenery openings on the inner sides of the corner tubes? I wanted to keep those open for easier access. I also kept them open because I assumed that most drivers would take the outer driving line anyways. Another thing is that the tubes are made from displacements, and displacements with transparent textures lack any and all ray collisions needed for ranger-based hover vehicles to work properly, so the glass might as well not be there at all. The only spot where I did put glass, was the straight tube above the big fan tube, and that was only because again I assumed that people would take the outer driving line most of the time.

Very good map, especially since its the one of, if not the only tube based tracks on the workshop. The only thing holding it back is the gaps in the tube on the corners, you tend to get thrown out when going at speed in a zero-g vehicle. Can the holes possibly be changed to glass?
