@chadalanbarlett There is a mod that actually has flying wings. Its called "Potion and Tranq" although its easier to find it by searching "xtranq." The wings are called "XGlider" but they do have dual functionality, so you can change between flying or gliding.

I love the wings they look so nice i just wish there were also wings added that didn't light up , Angel / Bat / butterfly , etc. my eyes can barely see anything around me with the wings super bright like in a cave

Would be okay with wings that flew, but it would need a config to be disabled the same way Cosplay Evolved works as I feel flight would be overpowered without a constant cost

It would be cool if there were wings you could actually fly with, not just glide, and they would be harder to get.

Umm definitely wanting more traditional types of wings, dragon, angel etc etc. Really surprised it wasn't a 1rst go to.

i really like the idea behind these i just wish their were like other types of wings aswell. for example angel wings, demon wings, butterfly wings, etc..

Ich mein.. ne Flak oder Swat Rüstung oder aber ne Ghillie Rüstung aus Ark sind halt nicht ansatzweise hübsch & zu den Flügeln passend :D

I know you said you didn't want to add them to head or back slots but would it be possible to do so just as a skin and not make it function as a glider? Maybe add them as an alternate option alongside the glider wings? I want to have my wings look nice but use my Sinomacrops as my glider instead. I also want to be able to have wings but use a different body skin. Would this be possible pretty please?

Hey yes it is definitely possible to place the wings on a different part of the body than the head. The wings are built like gliders ... If they are in a different place like the head or hands, they will probably no longer have a gliding function. I won't change the existing wings either, because they are correct as they should be on the back. And it would take a long time to move all of them to a different slot. And then you can probably no longer glide, because I cannot say 100% whether I can get the glide function programmed for another part of the body. In addition, I have a 6 week old baby and am currently taking a mod break. I can understand your wish but currently it is simply not feasible for me.

I’m hoping you misunderstood my question and request. I’m not asking for the wings to be placed somewhere else on the characters body…

The wings can still be attached to the characters back like their suppose to be.

But what happens when you wear body paint on your body and you want to show it off but can’t wear body armor or “shirts” because it would cover the paint and body artwork?
All I’m asking is if it’s possible, could you make the wings equipped a bowl on a different piece of armor? They don’t physically need to move anywhere they can still be placed on the back of the character…. You could even attach it to a helmet…. But it would still be on the back of the character….
You said if anyone had any request to let you know and I do… and this is my request…. Well I’m asking you to do is not hard… It’s an extremely simple and reasonable request.

well that is definitely possible, but I will not implement that, I'm sorry. Gliders belong on the back and not anywhere else.

Could you by any chance make these wings equitable in more then just your body armor? LIke maybe gloves also or helmet?

They are no skins. The wings are full functional Gliders. They are not dyeable, but you have 16 different colors of wings to choose 😊

is these skins for the glider object and if so are they dyable? if not that's fine they look wonderful though

Can i remove the durability loss of it?
Im using one that allows me to chance the .ini to not consume durability while flying or taking damage

Really wish these were updated to use the physics more similar to Zero G Speed glider. Can't go back to vanilla glider physics after using lol.

what about wings that work more like actual creatures? instead of just gliding, there could be one expensive pair that let you fly the same way a snow owl or griffon would, with diving and actual flight? there could be different tiers, like a gasoline powered set of wings, and then a better looking tek set, that also functions as a tek chestpiece. they'd probably look the same as the tek quetz wings too

Hey @Revenant absolutly a great idea making some more different variants of wings like you said feathers....the Problem with this is that they have to be animated and thats unfortunely not my thing, so i have to find some in the internet and the most oft them are only to buy...but i will see if i find something in this direction. This is a very cool concept that takes something really cool in the game and adds really cool skins. Liked & Fav'd. That being said I can't wait till you add some variety. The glowie wings are cool but I would like to see leather versions and or cloth versions or even feathers. I love and use the glider, I would love to see some awesome skins like that or even steampunk or cyberpunk. Just an idea.

Hey yeah your right I will change the gems to crystal so that you can craft them in every map 😊 otherwise you can craft blue gems in ss or s+ mod grinder I think 🤔 Naneya

Love the mod, it's very pretty. I just wanted to note that though it's great you've made these available for several maps, it's kinda pointless on the Island since you need blue gems to craft them. As far as I'm aware, that's an aberration resource.

Hasn't stopped me using it though ;) I went looking for an Aberration resource mod.
