julo my brother this games like minecraft in a way in the sense that they say minecrafts only limit is creativity you my good sir are simply not being creative enough if you think there isnt much to do in this game

hey any idea how to remove skills or how to undo the changes from hok to my savegame? I really didn't want the mod to destroy my savegames progression with that. there isnt much to do in this game anyway

Not a bug. At least, not as big a bug as being able to assemble something for BC and immediately disassemble it for BC7 is.

Out of curiosity, has the Hok issue with disassembly not giving the highest bit been fixed yet? Sure, I don't want the bit requirement during assembly, but having it also affect the disassembly side hilariously makes tinkering waaaaaay harder...

@chickenlord: Not really, it's all in the C# code. I know some people have decent decompiled versions of the codebase they used for reference on the wiki and whatnot, but I don't know specifics.

Hey, I'm wondering if you can tell me a little bit about how the code for this mod works?

I've been messing around with the code of some of the mods for this game, making little edits to rebalance things as I like.

when I went into this mods files though the code seems so weirdly minimal. Like there's text documents which tell the game how to list and describe the skills, but I don't see any code that actually implements them. I'm confused how this works.

for instance the skill that [/spoiler] increases the number of options you have when buying a mutation, where is the code that actually tells the game to change the number of mutation options? [/spoiler]

I see it has already been addressed in previous comments, but the "Hok" skill can lead to some wonky results since it doesn't technically ignore the highest bit, it literally removes it... but then still wants it sometimes, like how you can't mod an item until a player possesses the highest cost bit, even if the skill then allows the player to not need to use that highest cost bit. Plus, the whole disassembly issue...

Adding to an existing save won't mess anything up but you'll probably miss out on some Tenfold Path advancement opportunities that would have been present if it had been there from the beginning.

Minimal strength is fine. It's best for psychic mutant builds, especially together with Sifrah, but there's something for everyone.

Actually, nevermind. I'll be adding it to existing and new saves. My only question is, without spoilers, what kind of build does this work on? One my characters has minimal strength, so would this mod still be useful on him?

2) Like, any of the chimes in Chavvah (Aoyg-No-Longer sorta counts as the Chavvah teacher, but the keter-dream itself is also a v obvious choice)
...aren't potential instructors for us.

One of the Tenfolds says that evil twins and such end up becoming friendly towards the player, is it supposed not to include psychic assassins?
Also, could it not be possible to have more sources of teaching? I feel Slog could be a candidate too

Seek wise beings. Break bread (or in this case water) with them. Approach with ample wisdom in hand, and on good terms.
Each step on the path is more powerful then the last. Do not be discouraged by the cost.

@Celepito: NPCs who had already been loaded when the mod was installed won't get the information they need to work with it. If you like, you can fix this using wishes by wishing for a new copy of them (cleaning up the old one with geno: if you like).

Does this mod work if installed mid run? If unsure/yes:

"Easy check is going to the Stilt and seeing if options relevant to it appear in the water ritual with Tszappur and Eschelstadt."

What would those options be, are they guaranteed for those two, and do you need to have high/positive relations with the seekers first? Because I think its not working for me currently.

The skill "Hok" removes highest bit cost. The has a downside of this makes all items in the game lose there highest valued bit when deconstructed. Which in turn leads to two different bit types being extremly rare. To the point of being kinda odd and possibly counter productive. The skill itself is suuuper nice. Would you possibly consider removeing the bit cost for buildable items while leaving repairs and modsas is? Perhaps replaceing it with an increase bit chance when dissasmbleing similar to the advanced tool kit from base game. This would give the perk the means to be just as usefull without makeing all the items in the game lose there highest bit.
Just a thought.
So far I have 7 of the ten, I look forward to traveling in my search of the Ten Fold Path!

If any of those are wrong please post. The tenfold skill purchaseable from the sightless way guy I think are a chance, some have had them some do not from my expirence. No need to change, think this is good. Just noteing for others is all.

Is there a way to check whether this mod is working or not? I'm all for secretive description in Qud but a low-spoiler checksum would be nice for those of us running a lot of mods :) Something I installed recently has made some skills from other things break and I'm wondering if it's broken this too.
