It's such a shame the game literally cannot handle this game. I am running a very powerful comptuer, but this ship makes the game almost commit suicide.
GOD I can't wait for Space Engineers 2, hopefully we can enjoy mega-ships there, because this is an excellent design!

This ship is incredible dude!! Been having a blast setting up an interior on this beauty with buddies.

i7 CPU, 32GB Memory, 1080 Graphics card. It's a few years old now, nothing special. Have you tried loading it, might take a minute but it should load in just fine.

I can and others seem to be able to. It is certainly not something made for multiplayer survival game.

you cant even play the game with this loaded dude

It would be good to fully complete the interior

not a fan of using mods. Feels like cheating somehow, I know it's not but seems that way to me. You might as well just mod in the whole Venator ship. I've seen them do it with the smaller imperial cruisers.

You could use larger moded blocks to replace in some places, thus reducing the number of blocks and therefore reducing the physical lag as there would be fewer blocks to calculate.

@jolomike33 got to be close to a million I think. been a while since I tried to add them all up, it's comprised of several sub-grids (rotored parts) otherwise this wouldn't be possible. there's one main part of the hull that includes the inside hangars, engines and command towers which is the largest grid piece. Surrounding that are 4 of the angular wedge shaped hull pieces each one has a thousands of blocks as well. The ISD (Imperator) is 400m longer than the Venator so that would increase the size of everything exponentially. Too much for the game to handle me thinks.

How many blocks have this ship?

What about to do an imperial star destroyer 1:1 scale?

Nice job

Thanks Joshua Norton, I agree it's unfortunate but I'm surprised I got as far as I did. Might be able to go a little further using rotors/pistons to sub-grid other parts of the ship but honestly, I have no good reference for the interior anyhow and probably unplayable on servers so yeah, it's good enough.

ah, shame that the engine is that limited, maybe in space engineers 2 we will be able to fully create everything we can think of :>
you did an amazing job as it is already!

GOOD GOD, I HAVE FOUND IT.

not complete no, it gives me a warning that I was close to reaching the limit of physical shapes so I stopped. Few hallways and the bridge is framed out but not detailed or anything.
Joshua Norton 4 Oct, 2020 @ 12:49pm
does it have a complete interior :>

looks great though!
