@dory890217 Yes. I was creating the character based of the genji skin that shows his first armour created for him by overwatch; in it he has one mech arm and two mech legs :)

When creating a new character, one arm is a mechanical arm. Is this what you intended?

so I should make 1 for sheats 1 for weapon and 1 for weapon in sheath? but how to put all into FCS I saw in weapon type only normal map, metalness and texture

@Whisper You need to make a separate UV map for each texture onto the mesh. Make sure you do that, otherwise the texture will appear wrong.

before I added sheath all was nice but when I add them and make a new texture for them and sword in 1 file all went wrong like texture miss position

@Whisper What about the texture is wrong? If it is appearing that is a good start haha. Usually if the texture appears stretched or mis-positioned it will probably be the UV map that is messed up. If it appears to bright then the alpha channel of the diffuse map needs to be adjusted. If it appears transparent then the alpha map of the normal map needs to be adjusted.

new issue. when sword in hands the sheats showing up but with the texture of sword on it. but when sword sheathed no sheath only sword(

should I make the new textures only for sheath or I can somehow put it with the textures of sword?

@Whisper You need to have 3 fundamental files when making weapons regarding katanas, swords, or any sheathable weapon:

1.) The bare sword mesh
2.) The sheath mesh
3.) The sword with the sheath covering it mesh

You need to link these files to the respective locations in the FCS.

If sheath isnt loading, it can be for a few possible reasons. One possible bug is how the sheath is positioned in the 3D editor that you modelled it in. Make sure its centred correctly in the middle of the editor.

Make sure your normal/diffuse map.dds is correct

Check your normals for the model is correctly configured

Another possible bug is that you havent properly exported the sheath file from the editor and converted it to a mesh; make sure you have the right modifiers applied upon export.

The last problem I can think of is you havent configured the files or weapon properly in the FCS.

can you please help me with sheath? how I can make them. cause I've create a sword but cant make the sheath. sword in sheath don't showing in game(

@tommezzi2 Two possible things:

1. both spawn in the world: one with sheath and one without. I'm pretty sure this won't happen tho, if I recall correctly on how I configured the mods into the game.
2. one overwrites the other and only one spawns (based on load pref.)
