Secondarily: If it doesn't seem to be doing anything, it's probably because the character still has clothes on. It'll destroy the clothes, so make sure to take that off first.
When using the peeler - in this form or any other - you cannot choose exactly what will come flying off- errrr, i mean, what the surgeon will amputate ;). I tried making a "selective surgery suit" that essentially protected everything 100% to stupid values except for a single limb with no protection at all, and made it weigh like a billion pounds so it wouldn't be cheat armor.
Unfortunately all your armor and gear is annihilated as soon as you enter the machine and it starts working. The game engine just ignores it, throws it into a black hole, then goes about merrily gnawing your limbs off any way it pleases.
Does the bed also destroy stuff besides limbs like the original or did you manage to change that?
@spacefiddle: There should be some tutorials on it. The short version is 1) open the mod files 2) copy over the animation files to a new "patch" mod that you create on FCS 3) add the animation to custom race
One question: I'm using a custom race, what do I need to do to get them to lie down in the bed instead of standing in the middle of it? I assume this is a missing animation thing?
