It has something to do with how Unarmed works, quite strangely. This mod seems to be making all damage dealt by unarmed people inflict physical damage. The exceptions are if it's normal world surfaces or by armed chars. Can anyone else confirm that? My tests showed that casting poison dart on the ground and stepping in it, the surface/status would deal physical damage... but then, as soon as I equipped a weapon, it started to deal normal poison before it even wore off. If you step in ooze that deals poison, and then ooze that deals phys, you'll be ticking for both as long as either poison status persists. :stimulation:

The mod's github has been updated as of Jun 28 2023. It just hasn't been finished with the transition to use the Script Extender, and the mod author moved on to modding BG3 I believe. Maybe he'll come back and finish that update, one day - until then, I hope he knows his modding efforts are forever appreciated! :winter2019happybulb: GLHF, everyone!

Who are you taking to ? This mod hasn't been updated in 4 years and the developer has since moved on to BG3. Also your just wrong this mod isn't causing the problem, maybe try curating your mod list maybe ?

As of 3/29/24, this mod causes undead players / allies to take poison damage. On a skill like Poison Dart that does initial poison burst damage and then adds the poison effect and a DoT afterwards, the INITIAL hit does still correctly heal undead, while the DoT after as well as the poison DoT from any and all other sources does full damage instead of healing to undead. Confirmed from this mod.

@matchet what do you mean? Weapon skills like huntsman scale based on your weapon attack, if you are using a finesse weapon then martial skills scale off finesse. That's literally how spears work in the base game.

The problem with greatbows is they use Str but Huntsman still scales with finesse. Same happens with Katanas also not being suitable for Fin Scoundrel skills

How do I go on about having my followers as modded classes I want Beast to be a pirate and Ifan as a greatbow user? I checked the weaponmaster but he doesnt sell the weapons themselves.

This is in response to my own question I asked in my last comment; the weapon masteries just kicked in for my party members. I guess I just needed to fight enough people for the masteries to start showing up, although with my main character it seemed like as soon as I got into my first fight I started gaining mastery. Well whatever the case, it's working now.

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but I have a question: do the weapon masteries work for NPC companions. My main character currently has an odachi and is building up the katana mastery. But my other party members - Loshe, The Red Prince, and Fane - don't have anything in their respective weapon mastery windows and I've been attacking enemies with them with applicable weapons.

So does the weapon mastery system only work with the main character?

If Leaderlib had made an update, it would be accessible via his Beta Channel on his discord (which weapon ex is not), but he has been updating and bug fixing this mod through Leaderlib, actually. He is active in the mod's discussion pages there.

But safe to say, he hasn't made a "playable" update to the mod yet, what's on github isn't really playable yet.

Thanks for the info, me and my sister are doing local coop so...

Think what I can do is, swap to single player, check the mastery, then swap back to coop. When needed.

Note 2: The mastery menu currently does not support controllers, as they are a whole different ball of wax when it comes to UI modding. The mastery system itself will work, but you won't be able to open/navigate the menu.

Hello, everyone! My friend and I are in Driftwood. We're looking for the Weapon Master, not the vending machine. In Fort Joy, he's right by the statue for the square teleport. Where the heck is this guy in this new map??

Hey LL. This mod is incredible- it adds a ton of diversity to weapon options and the weapon mastery system is a brilliant idea, but I also have some criticisms; the vending machine takes me out of the game a bit, also the arm mounted crossbows appear too often and are worth about 2x too much.

My suggestion: I did initially get a kick out of seeing the machine, but I think it might be better to just have it be a living NPC.

Thank you for making these incredible mods. Every upload keeps this game alive another few years lol.
