@CheeseDreamer07 if you already figured it out, you can add those commands into your autoexec.cfg file then go to your launch options and add: "+exec autoexec.cfg"

Get rid of sparks and headshot blood, i dont wanna put in a command every time i load in.

before i installed this mod, headshots did 0 damage, what causes this?

nevermind, turns out it's not this mod causing it. it just crashes whenever i kill an enemy. im gonna go delete some mods now.

now whenever i headshot enemies, the game just freezes and i need to restart to get out of gmod. It's only started recently, so it might be either because of another mod. Anyone know what the problem might be?

I have the Fedhoria mod installed and Instant kill headshot, when I shoot in the head a friend flies into orbit, , someone knows the solution to this problem?

whenever i headshot a npc at close distance with a tfa weapon (yes i checked no other type of weapons do this) just fling, is there a way to fix this other than just stop using tfa weapons?

npcs seem to fling around everytime i get a insta kill headshot, and there seems to be no conflicting addons.

Yes, It replaces the spark hit sound, I think the pop sound you are hearing might be from the blood.

SimpleHeadshots_allow_headshot_blood 0 might fix that

it should work since i didnt have the spark command enabled

ohhh it replaces the spark audio, im pretty sure i can also hear a sound effect when i do it without spark its kind of a pop

Alright so, I just tested it and it works for me.

Here is everything i have.

I have a file in the sound folder called mysound.wav



Also, Here are the console commands that i used as well.

SimpleHeadshots_spark_hit_sound mysound.wav

Thats all there really is to it, If it still does not work, It may be that the sound you are using is too quiet or you have a mod conflict.

Its also possible you have the audio.wav sound too quiet.

Basically, The command starts at the sound folder, Meaning the file path will start from the sound folder,

For example if your file is in the garry's mod sound folder, All you would need to do is
( SimpleHeadshots_spark_hit_sound audio.wav )


If you have put the sound in any subfolders, Then thats where you would need the file path.
E.G

( SimpleHeadshots_spark_hit_sound mysubfolder/anotherfolder/audio.wav )

i added a sound file but it doesnt change anything, i changed the sound command too

@horizon : The sounds folder for adding your own sounds and what not, Can be located in
( steam/ steamapps/ GarrysMod/ garrysmod/ sound ) If the sound folder is not there, You can create it, Then add the sounds you want there,

Otherwise if you mean about the sounds i used in the mod, They are already packed into gmod.

Yes, Someone has already mentioned something simular, Im going to check the mod just in case there might be something causing it, On the other hand you might have a conflicting mod.

There are a few reasons why they might not be dying instantly, Such as a possible mod conflict where the mod is overriding the damage output to the npc.

If you use custom combine models, It could also be a model hitbox error, In which case i can't fix that as its down to the model maker.

Then of course, You might have ( SimpleHeadshots_players_can_headshot_npcs ) set to 0.
It needs to be 1 for players to be able to headshot npcs.

There might be a conflicting addon you have there. I have been using this mod for a while and never had a problem.
Still, I will take a look back through my code for you to see if anything seems odd.
