So far so great! One question though, are they supposed to get deposited into storage when dropping off bulk resources with the Alt+MMB command or did I somehow do something wrong! lol. Thank you for the time you put in here btw, new to the game

They're consumed as they're used up

Are the plates consumed when they absorbe damage? or need to be repaired?

Odd, are there any error messages?

I managed to make this work yesterday, but today i'm unable to produce a Balistic fiber even though the components required are at disposal.
Any thoughts ?

(More specifically can I use your script)

I’m interested in the armor itself. Only visual representation I need is physical item in the characters inventory. (I’m easy to please).
Do I have your permission to re-use parts of this mod?

Hi cKerenesky!
I just came across this mod. I’m working on a halo themed mod. It will be called the Spartan Program. I have a whole bunch of custom weapons lined up and ready to go. However, what would absolutely make it 1000% better would be with some spartan armor.
I would love to remake some of the armor you’ve made to fit that purpose and include it in that mod. I will happily add you as a contributor and credit you in the description.
(There’s also a Star Wars mod in the mix that could use some mandalorian armor if that’s more your speed😂)
Please let me know if I can re-use this, thanks!

It isnt allow me to build ballistic fiber, it says that I need a material with no texture called n/a

Each piece can absorb one impact before breaking, 1 point, or 100, doesn't matter. The mod will use as much armour as it can to reduce your incoming damage to 0. Steel is around 1500 points of damage, Ceramic around 750. Ceramic plates, when shattered, can absorb an additional 75 damage, but are then lost for good.

If you're expecting to go up against powerful weapons, steel plates will keep you alive best. If you're going up against a mix, Ceramic will probably be better, since it's more lightweight and can absorb two hits (though at less damage absorbed per hit)

Against small arms (like interior turrets) Ballistic fibre is your best bet. It absorbs 20 damage, but won't attempt to absorb more per hit, so some damage might go through, but since it's a lot lighter, it'll protect you against *more* individual hits.

And does it reduce damage by some fraction? or does it work like "additional HP" (like in MC ? )
Brisket  [author] 19 Oct, 2020 @ 10:22am
You just keep the armour in your inventory. No need to equip or do anything else. Just having it in your backpack will provide coverage

how does this work?
Francis 12 Oct, 2020 @ 8:31pm
yes its for the engineer
Kam Solastor 12 Oct, 2020 @ 4:34pm
Is this for the engineer (meaning, personal armor) or for ships?
BSOD 11 Oct, 2020 @ 1:58pm
