The mod only needs a patch for the vanilla data to correct the missions to be compatible with the real grid system. I recently finished this in the beta for ube but I have not deployed any of the components with these fixes.

For some reason this mod breaks the marked areas on map out of shape for missions, specially tutorials and it always gives the the path is not contained in the area message. Are there any workaround to this?

can you clarify or give an example?

the AN grid is in the correct order (see links & images)
every grid is referenced using historical maps/record.
there are only a handful of "unconfirmed" grids but none of which are in the Atlantic.

hi sorry for a late reply.
the reference is from a real kreigsmarine map, Whit the previous version of this game and using this mod everything checkt out fine,but now it seems like alot is mixt up wrong.to mutch to even begin to explain where.
i understand that its probobly alot of work for you to fix it,but i realy hope you can.

Sadly The Grid An 4 ;5 and 6 seems to be incorrect. and the numbering when zoomd in on Am grid and others has a missplaced order.

@Link so this just affects the grid layer? So what ever map skin I use won't be affected? What I mean this mod does not add in its own map skin, just the grids?

@Kraft Squad, BdU convoy reports integrates seamlessly with this mod so does vanilla. Which ever grid system is loaded into game is what the BdU report uses to provide the message location.

How does this mod work with the BDU messages mod that tells you locations of enemy ships based on the grid, ie does this mod change it in any way that would lead to the bdu messages (that I assume are from vanilla?) not leading me to the correct grid?

In theory, yes the calculation should be tied to if your coordinates fall within a map grid. But if you encounter bugs with distances/patrols please let me know.

First, I took a mission to Travel 1210 nm inside a marked area. I then plotted a route inside the marked area. Afterward, I activated your more-accurate grid mod. It shifted my assigned grid and the marked area moved with it, placing my route partially outside the new marked area. I'm now curious to see if the distance bar will indicated distance traveled while I'm inside the new markings but outside the old markings.

also nihilcat if you so desire, I would be happy to donate this mod to the base game as an optional map (realistic) or even as the base game map sheet. Totally up to you and the community. But the grids accurately reproduce the known Kriegsmarine Grid System.

@link I've investigated the issue that you reported earlier. It's caused by two duplicated squares in the data sheets of the mod. These squares are: AO80, BH43. Everything should go back to normal after you fix that.

I will add detection of such cases to the base game in the near future.

Ah, ok its fully clear now, also I have found there are 3 options for the map graphic settings ingame. With the semi-realistic map setting, the colors look like in your pictures.

@salamander yea, I took the pictures using my other mod Uboat Expanded which contains a development campaign starting in 1939. Probably should have avoided using those pictures as it could cause confusion .

Sorry, my bad, I have disabled all other mods and then noticed that the grids for example north east from Japan are missing without the mod. So everything is fine with the grids, also with all other mods I am running.

However how come that you have such beatiful maps in your screenshots with nice blue water? Also the country colors looks like its beginning of WW2. Is it some other mod?

Hallo link, I have activated the mod, but I cannot notice any change to the map.
I have latest B128. Have tried new game as well. Have tried to disable the Realistic Mapmode Mod, I will try to disable all other mods as well, but is there any known conflict? Thanks, from the pictures it looks awesome.

Link= I can barely see the grid letter/numbers because they are light grey color and the map ocean color is a slightly darker grey. Is that your intention?

I dont believe so , this is data injected into the Sandbox.xlsx datafile. thus I believe it is embeded into the save file.
