This mod replaces the vanilla files for The Handmaiden.
I'm not sure if I could combine the 2 through a new mod (making my own "Play as Black Handmaiden" would be easier).
This should work, but it's a bit technical:
You could sub to the "Play as Handmaiden" mod, sub to my mod (Workshop folder: 2252998513), move the files from my mod somewhere and unsub from it.
Now you need to replace files from the "Play as Handmaiden" mod with files from my mod, while sticking to the filenames of the "Play as Handmaiden" mod.
There's free image viewers to check out the .tga files (XnView is one I know).
Example of one file: rename P_HandmaidenH.tga from my mod to PFHC01.tga, copy that to the "Play as Handmaiden" workshop folder, overwrite.
It's pretty simple, no need to overthink things.
I don't really care about such things when someone makes a request.
.dlg files are game specific dialogue files, can't do much with them without a special program, even on a pc :)
You were close though, that was the main game's override folder, that's what we used before Workshop mods and you can still use it. You could get the version of this mod on Deadly Stream, throw the files in that folder and do the copy rename thing. Make sure you unsub from this mod if you take that route.
I tried everything you suggested, but I can't even trace your steps on my "rig". All I found in the override folder was a file called handmaiden.DLG. I tried opening it with Wine, which didn't work.
To be fair, I'm stuck all the way back in El Capitan on my old '08 Macbook from college (between big boy computers at the moment), so I'm gonna go ahead and chalk it up to a lost cause until I get a real computer.
You might also be able to do a file search using the above, on the whole Steam folder or even your whole system.
It's a matter of copy-rename once you find the folder.
Replace P_HandmaidBAD01.tga with a copy of P_HandmaidenBA.tga.
Replace PFBLHandMD01.tga with a copy of PFBLHandM01.tga.
Replace P_HandmaidenHD1.tga & P_HandmaidenHD2.tga with copies of P_HandmaidenH.tga.
Replace PO_PHandMd1.tga & PO_PHandMd2.tga with copies of PO_PHandM.tga.
@DJ: lol, yeah, I get it. You can copy+replace some files if you like, so that all states look the same.
There isn't even a seperate 3D head model for those, which is needed to show armors/robes.
You can change that and tell the game to use an alternative head, but yes, flipping that switch can't be combined with TSLRCM.
It is possible as a non Steam mod, but here it would conflict with popular mods like TSLRCM.
