Yeah, if you use the continued version it will work just fine even if it says missing dependency. I'll swap that over in a little bit.
slipstream1993 16 Jul @ 8:15am
srts extended says on its page that it is no longer being updated so the continued is the main one
Inked.  [author] 11 Jul @ 2:42pm
@lorsieab2 - Funny you mention it. This does work with 1.6, I just haven't pushed the update to show it as compatible as I'm waiting to see what happens with SRTS. There's a continued version out and I don't know which version will be the main one going forward.

I'll push it anyway asap, but it will work regardless.
lorsieab2 11 Jul @ 2:38pm
1.6 just dropped! Any chance of an update?
Inked.  [author] 6 Sep, 2024 @ 7:27am
1.5 version pushed. Let me know if anything doesn't work.
Inked.  [author] 6 Sep, 2024 @ 7:13am
@Azraile - It should. I just upped the version to 1.5 and am going to test it next time I'm on RW. As long as RW didn't drastically change how they fill trader stock or SRTS changed the ability to minify things - it should work just as it did before.
Azraile 5 Sep, 2024 @ 9:37pm
this working on 1.5?
Inked.  [author] 12 Mar, 2024 @ 11:48am
Update for those of you looking for it:

A version of this mod for vehicles introduced by the vehicles framework and associated mods is 90% done, it's just stuck with an error I can't seem to figure out. Due to the way the vehicles are spawned, applying them to a trade stock is more complex with the way the game handles pawns and world pawns - and it's a bit above my paygrade.

If I can find some help digging into this particular chokepoint and I can get past it, I'll finish it up and release.

I'm playing a nomadic playthrough with rimwar and this thing is a godsend.
NuanKi 17 May, 2023 @ 8:51pm
@Inked. thanks, i think the discounted price on cities is bcuz i use this mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1498070208
Inked.  [author] 17 May, 2023 @ 10:47am
@NuanKi - This is intentional behavior. I considered travelling to another settlement, especially in early game, to acquire a ship to be more cost effective at a less convenient factor.

Keep in mind that the Mk3 is set to a value of 63,256 and the change in prices is going to be factored by negotiation skill and all other factors to trade prices.

As for the multiple ships, it's *intended* to only offer 1 of each ship but it may not because technically the ships would be considered uninstalled furniture and if any stock generator includes furniture, it's probably picking it up. I may or may not eventually look into fixing that but no promises.
NuanKi 14 May, 2023 @ 4:09pm
for example i bought the to MKIII ships for 47k, when with the orbital trader 1 MKIII is for 89k
NuanKi 14 May, 2023 @ 4:08pm
you can buy the ship from any settlement for a lot less money, also in rimcities you can find +20 different minified ships, i think you should look that
Inked.  [author] 5 Apr, 2023 @ 1:21pm
@Smiley Face Killer — I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. All this mod does is add the 'minified' versions of the space ships to a new orbital trader so that you can buy them. You turn them into 'real' ships by placing them like you would with minified furniture.

But I don't know much about the SRTS CE version so I couldn't tell you for sure as I don't know how it works exactly!
Smiley Face Killer 5 Apr, 2023 @ 11:02am
Anyone know if this works with the SRTS CE version?
Inked.  [author] 25 Oct, 2022 @ 11:53am
Updated to 1.4 Sorry for the delay folks, been a busy week.

NOTE: I've changed the dependency to account for Smashphil taking over SRTS Expanded and changing the package ID. If this mod shows that it depends on SRTS even though you have it active, make sure you grab Smashphil's version.
hcampbell 23 Oct, 2022 @ 1:38pm
1.4 Update?
Voyeurtaz 22 Oct, 2022 @ 6:41pm
Do you plan to update this to 1.4?
Frebby 17 Aug, 2022 @ 5:17am
I've been using this mod for a while now and never seen a trader on the ground sell ships, is it orbital trader only?
jrox8 26 May, 2022 @ 6:22am
Could one assume this mod creates ships that ship ships from the ship?
Aggressive_Pizza 25 Jul, 2021 @ 8:37pm
pog thank you
Inked.  [author] 25 Jul, 2021 @ 7:26am
Updated to 1.3.
Aggressive_Pizza 25 Jul, 2021 @ 12:19am
1.3?
Inked.  [author] 26 Jun, 2021 @ 9:31am
New update: Added support for RimHeli using values derived from reddit. Roughly placed in line with base SRTSE ships. Let me know how the cost balances.

Also added all ships to civil outlander bases so you can purchase them from other settlements instead of solely relying on orbital.

Shouldn't have any issues but let me know.
Inked.  [author] 6 Jun, 2021 @ 2:33pm
@Victor — That is odd and never been reported to me before. At least in my game, the dealer is very common, at times too much. I recommend using a mod to better fine tune trader ships and change the frequency so you see it more. Or find the files locally and modify to boost.

Also make sure that your colony is capable of orbital trading, as the ship dealer is ONLY orbital.
Victor 6 Jun, 2021 @ 12:14pm
I have been using this mod for a long time and haven't yet seen one single SRTS trader...
رضا شاه روحت شاد 5 Jun, 2021 @ 12:44pm
I wish they updated it, it looks abandoned
Inked.  [author] 5 Jun, 2021 @ 12:07pm
Sadly it would not be possible. I am not a qualified programmer for a task like that, nor do I even have much understanding of the internals of the mod. This mod is a rather simple add-on I made to compliment my own playthroughs.

If you haven't already, I would suggest asking the mod authors to update/address the issues you're having. Or someone else may be better equipped to handle them.
رضا شاه روحت شاد 5 Jun, 2021 @ 10:48am
@Inked would it be possible for you to do a forked on SRTS expanded? it seems bugged to hell and back
Inked.  [author] 4 Jun, 2021 @ 2:59pm
It's been asked a few times. I think whoever the artists at SRTS Expanded may have been inspired by that vehicle, but ultimately as they drew it they would know. I didn't create any of the mod art.
Dopper 4 Jun, 2021 @ 1:00pm
Isn't that the Vulture from Halo Wars lol?
TurtleShroom 18 May, 2021 @ 2:27pm
That meme is awesome. You did such a good job.
Inked.  [author] 24 Jan, 2021 @ 9:32pm
Updated.

Long overdue and likely completely and entirely irrelevant, but Rawy's The Crimson Fleet is now patched, and the SRTS Salesman will now sell you those ships as well, as previously requested.

Values are x2, and you can find all of them on the spreadsheet.

RimHeli was not patched, as I found that the mod's aircraft are incredibly cheap. To the point that the highest tier aircraft of RimHeli is only valued at $1,000 more than the cheapest aircraft of SRTSE. Additionally, the difference between the Huey and the Huey (Armed) is 300 silver, and Hip -> Hind is 60 silver.

If it is heavily desired, I'll make a poll about the cost multiplier and we'll figure out how they should be priced. Additionally, I'll make patches for any other add-on aircraft for SRTS. It's been interesting practice getting to understand patch operations more.
Bazalisk 25 Dec, 2020 @ 3:00pm
@Kai

the mod you are looking for is the Anti-Air Artillery mod, the last level turret is for shooting down orbital craft, mostly trade ships ( see entirely trade ships :p )
Kai 2 Dec, 2020 @ 7:34pm
Aww. Was hoping it added cargo ships that could be shot down and looted
Grif 23 Nov, 2020 @ 6:33am
Canary? That's a Vulture from Halo Wars
Gunboat Diplomat 18 Nov, 2020 @ 11:22pm
Subbed, just because of the thumbnail.
Inked.  [author] 25 Oct, 2020 @ 9:54am
Unknown. Most likely will work fine, but you may not be able to use Lets Trade to control the frequency of this trader.
Pavlentine 25 Oct, 2020 @ 6:19am
Compability with Let's Trade ?...
(I mean i'm not even sure these trader will be ever spawned 'cause of too much another types of ship, maybe? huh)
Endless Void 14 Oct, 2020 @ 12:18pm
halo wars one the Vulture was the true king in the battlefield but in two it became a flying tank with its phoenix missile
Inked.  [author] 14 Oct, 2020 @ 12:14pm
It does look a lot like the Halo Wars Vulture. Boy were those fun to mass build and air smash enemy bases with.

But as for the question, the designs are all from the SRTS Expanded team. Unsure what inspiration, if any, they had for them.
Endless Void 14 Oct, 2020 @ 12:09pm
is that halos AC-220 Vulture Gunship
cubicPsycho 12 Oct, 2020 @ 5:27pm
Sweet, I'm definitely adding this to my load order then
Inked.  [author] 12 Oct, 2020 @ 4:41pm
@cubicPsycho — This operates as an orbital trader.
cubicPsycho 12 Oct, 2020 @ 4:09pm
Is this an orbital trader or a caravan?
Inked.  [author] 12 Oct, 2020 @ 8:58am
@jeff — While true, that would also go against what this mod aims to do. The idea is to make it possible for the player to acquire ships without the research or building materials to make them. The trade off is that it costs twice as much as opposed to using resources.

If I include them selling parts, then the expensive part of that trade off is reduced to just the cost of buying parts, which all the other traders can do anyway. Not only that, the only way I know of to hike up the advanced comps would be to patch them for a higher value, which would become true for ALL traders and throughout the game. Some people may not want to play with advanced components that expensive.

SRTS used to have it's own custom resources that were used in building, but I think it was discontinued. If it still existed, I would patch those to make them available in the trader.
Inked.  [author] 12 Oct, 2020 @ 8:58am
@bizzbaron — They do not, in part because I already make use of the Metals Trader mod, and in part because it would go against what this mod aims to do.

@NECEROS — Thank you. SRTS Expanded is one of my favorite mods and a must have for my playthroughs.
jeffg10-TheDanceMaster 12 Oct, 2020 @ 5:05am
Suggestion: You might consider making them sell SRTS parts, as well as components and advanced components too (advanced components at a 3x price hike) to kind of represent how they're cornering the market on selling ships AND replacement parts for them
NECEROS 12 Oct, 2020 @ 4:49am
Great mod!
bizzbaron 12 Oct, 2020 @ 4:00am
do they sell ship parts too? That would be only logical imo
