How sure are you that you were playing on official dedicated server? Did you type 'status' in console and at least got Linux Dedicated along Valve's regular hostname: Valve Left4Dead 2 X Y Server (srcdsZ)?
Did you apply the advice from the description? Installed B2V last, checked whether mods other than B2V don't conflict with each other, restarted the game?
What mods were you using alongside this one? Link to collection would be ideal.
What map exactly were you playing on? Which chapter?
Good news: GameMaps version of B2V isn't a normal, workshop add-on and is already taking care of that.
As for removing the campaign, the best I could do with a workshop add-on is hide it from the menus. I see no point in doing that. Get the GameMaps version of b2v if you want TLS maps actually removed. I made them optional here.
and why doesn't this remove the last stand even tho its supposed to be before the last stand update
GameMaps version is an "update" folder replacement that doesn't contain TLS weapon models, to make the game use what's inside the "left4dead2*" folders, skipping the double override.
But now that I think about it, something like that would only work in single player since script modifications only work for servers.
I guess in order to fix the issue with other voice packs you would HAVE to replace the added lines for each mod, which is impossible for old mods since most are 12+ years old and will never be updated.
And people playing in other languages are screwed since the added lines were only recorded in English. Damn TLS was worse than I thought. Thank you anyways, you saved me a lot of time trying to find/create an impossible solution.
! It's a scandal It's as if I said I want an Audi while the waiter gives me an Opel! It's not possible !
Alternatively you could go back in time and make sure the update never happens. Somewhow.
Most of the things are just being replaced with old stuff, not deleted. You can't delete much using a workshop mod. New models are replaced with old models, new sounds are replaced with old sounds that are cut/extended/spliced, etc.
GameMaps version on the other hand, can and does remove some files that are not needed for the game to run without issues, like weapon models, which are already present in other directory. I used TLS update folder as a base and kept deleting, modifying and adding files until I got what is basically a smaller in size and devoid of unnecessary content update folder.
Unpack and dissect those mods to see how they're made for yourself. I won't be writing an essay about them here, but if you have more specific questions, feel free to ask.
