Do you think you could fix the problem of the leaking invisible hole in the cap cabine from the left top ? because the sub seem really neat to play but soon i start leaving the outpost it start leaking and there no hole to fix

bro doesn't owe anyone an explanation, show some gratitude. People these days feel entitled to whine over a free, fan made ship because the OP hasn't replied... Maybe they aren't playing the game anmymore, or are busy with life? Go be useful, you can learn to mod this ship yourself and change what you need instead of being an ungrateful douche.

I have an issue where the bots wont operate the reactor. Ive set one electrician bot to operate it, but he keeps being idle. even when the sub ran out of fuel and the batteries died. he would not switch the fuel.

i wonder if this was overlooked because a player crew was in mind when building?

Ok, well I managed to add power all the diving suit lockers and oxygen refill stations, and added an emergency ballast drain toggle on the lower deck to help fight flora which messed me up once. kept all the gear I had in my campaign the same. That Sub editor is very fun. Again thank you

@Quint - This ship is so damn capable. New to the game but already deep into it. When I was ready for a Tier 2, I tried all the Vanilla and a lot of great workshop subs, but I kept coming back to yours and honestly, it just rocks. Kudos on a great design, my only gripe is the dive suit lockers not powered to fill o2, but I'll prob try to wire that myself. Awesome work.

None of the secure containers are secure and none of the oxygen tank shelves or suit lockers are powered

automaticaly opening doors go haywire when standing too close to them and its driving me nuts. can you make them just stay open until there is water inside the boat? other from this, great sub. guess i will stick to it.

Great sub, but perhaps a bit too generous with the items. I went and make a local version that removes most of the free goodies they give you because by the time I can afford this ship, I'm already loaded down with stuff.

I'm sorry I haven't replied to these messages or updated the sub for a LONG time - I think I mistakenly unsubscribed to the thread and failed to check it from time to time, I just assumed nobody was writing in here.

So, big update for The Stoick!

- Fixed the hole causing the Captain's room to flood constantly;
- Probably fixed the issue with the docking hatch not allowing players through
- Reduced the amount of equipment the sub spawns with, should be more balanced now;
- Fixed the mineral scanner
- Set the JBs to 50% by default
- Increased the price to 14.999 - I trusted the suggested price but it was definitely too low
- Fixed the battery lamps
- added amogus
- Updated the sub with some of the new decorations, should be overall prettier in some parts
- Turned the vending machines into actual vending machines
- Fixed the text display on the Memorial Terminal

Again, sorry it took me so long to notice I had unsubscribed from this thread and to fix these bugs.

Can definitely confirm that the captains quarter has a hole in it that causes flooding that can't be repaired and has to be fixed in the editor. The crew really likes this ship but you can't really operate a ship that immediately floods with no fix.

You can fix the Captains Quarters leak yourselves by editing the blue HULL lines in the Sub Editor (turn them on first) and just click dragging them to overlap a bit.

Yep, I came here to mention the same thing. The gap is too tall, so it's just pouring water in from outside the ship.

I like the ship a lot, but the biggest letdown was not having power to the suit/o2 tank lockers. Is this being fixed in the next build?

This is such an amazing sub, but stumbled upon a small issue. For some reason the docking hatch is open but the character can't get through it. When entering the outpost from the side door I am able to climb down the hatch, but can't climb back up as the character gets stuck on the upper docking port. Any ideas?

You put both the reactor and engine right next to a bunch of junction boxes. If one box catches fire then the result is a blazing inferno that consumes all three

This is a very sturdy and roomy and ship I love it.
A couple of complaints - there is no battery charger near the airlocks and there is no crate storage for cargo missions despite the ship's size. Both of these faults are tolerable for such a high-quality ship

I forgot to gush about the visibility -- multiple glass panels, with retractable door panels in case they get breached, in various spots around the sub. All the camera periscopes for people to be able to see outside the sub.

This is a AAA, masterclass-level sub. I've been going through a lot of them lately, and none wraps up elegance, ergonomic design and great automation features like this one. It's all there -- it's campaign-friendly (no scads of unbalanced loot all over it), it has the right things in the right places, and that stateroom/berthing area is just the best. And great, extensive labeling that is not only highly useful and visible, but also fits in well. Just amazing, mwah-level sub here.

Hi Quint, Both your subs are the best i have tested and me and my m8s love them. We found one problem in the Stoick. The Mineral sonar in Engineering is not working.
I checked in the ship editor and "mineral sonar" is not activated in the settings for that terminal.

Hope you update this soon we can use that funktion. Keep up the good work, hope to se more ships from you (Vallhalla Shipyard):steamhappy:

Alright, since I've spent so much time on the Iroh, it felt right to update this beauty a bit.
The Stoick is now lighter on the CPU and handles the latest updates better.

- The ship's name is now [VH] The Stoick.
- Added a mineral sonar in Engineering;
- Added weapon holders in armory, since some new weapons can't be stored in cabinets;
- Replaced all doors and hatches with the ones I built for the Iroh - these are less cpu intensive and should work better all around;
- Better lighting all around the ship - as an extra, the ship now gets properly dark when the power is off;
- Better searchlights - they don't jam anymore when trying to switch from one to the other;
- Each class now spawns in its appropriate room;
- Moved all the screwdrivers and wrenches that spawned outside cabinets;
- Some minor graphical fixes around the whole ship;
- Better cabinets for the fabricator and the deconstructor, the UI shouldn't bug out now;
- Rebuilt the waypoints to accomodate the new changes;

my favorite part about the ship is that it spawns with toolbelts and an /actually/ good amount of spare ammo. although i feel like the railgun at the bottom is slightly out of place since the bottom part is completely flat while the top has a few blind spots. I also like how much character the ship has, very fun for campaigns and overall my favorite ship out of all the ones ive used, thanks for making this

Thank you for finding the fix, I had forgot that the ballast controller required the buoyancy to be at 0.5, and removing it kind of broke it. Should work fine now.

Not sure if this fixes the problems stated by Majestic7. Please tell me if you find something or if this happens keeps happening and in what situations.

I noticed when using this sub it still doesn't move on the Y axis very well, So i hopped into the sub editor and checked what the neutral buoyancy value was and noticed that you did not change the value in either of the Navigation terminals, changing the navigation value to match fixes the issue.

I'm afraid the lifting upwards bug is still not fixed.

It is not constant, though. It seems the sub can't descent or ascent after being thrown around by an endworm or a similar huge monster. The sub can move left and right, but not up or down. Pumps work etc,there are no reasons inside the sub for this. Some sort of collision check bug? Very annoying.

We love the Stoick so it would be very nice to get the bug fixed. :)

Latest update broke the Ballast Controller, and the ship now struggles to gain any upward momentum, hovering at 28% full at minimum.
