@Dies Irea It turns out I'm a moron and completely misread your original question. The single-build setup in this mod was only set up to work with LWOTC. I've released an update that has a second set of WSR configs, which can be used by players who are not playing LWOTC, but do want to build Alloy Grenades one at a time (and not lose access to AP Grenades). You'll still need to uncomment those WSR configs if you want to use them.

I tried to fix the error i was getting but couldn't get it to work. I was trying to set the alloy grenades to be single build.

I uncommented the WSR script and set build-able to 1 and the other back to 0.
This allowed me to single build alloy grenades immediately with no cost.

I copied the script from the LWOTC file in the mod in to WSR ini which stopped them being built immediately. It didn't allow me to build them at all even if i researched plasma grenades (using console commands)

I take if you don't use LWOTC but want individual build you don't have to edit any configs.

@kiruka what about porting the 3D model and explosion effect from Xcom:EW? Grenades are so small the lower resolution should not matter much.

@Kiruka Last time I tried the RealityMachinima's version, the grenade did not have a new 3d model. Did you add one?

@Oblivious Naga: Are you playing LWOTC? If so, are you referring to Full Kit, or LWOTC's version of Heavy Ordnance?

In the meantime, I'll give it a test drive with vanilla's Heavy Ordnance ability.

will AP/Alloy grenades still benefit from the grenadiers double nade ability? I had an issue with the original where it didnt work
