Because the download is broken try this workaround:
1. Unsubscribe
2. Right-click anywhere on this page and select Copy Page URL
3. Go to http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/ or {LINK REMOVED}https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/
4. Paste the URL from the second step and click Download
5. Rename the "download" file as "Oakland.map"
6. Move the downloaded .map file to your CIM2 maps folder (see below)
FILE LOCATIONS (2018)
Windows /Users/USERNAME/AppData/LocalLow/Colossal Order/Cities in Motion 2/
Mac /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Colossal Order/
Linux /home/USERNAME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Cities in Motion 2/Cities in Motion 2_Data/Data/
For playing this Map you have to go to the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\441432627\ugc\referenced\3280047613906923893
there you will find the file:
_workshop%002f76561198046098475%002f_oaklandv1.0.map
this file you have to copy to the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cities in Motion 2\CIM2_Data\Data\Maps
And than starts CiM2 and enjoy the Map...
TYSM FOR MAKING THIS
Santa Monica or Long Beach might be better options. CiM2 seems best suited to a mid sized city - even Oakland is a little big.

I'd love to be able to make this map playable for everyone, but I'm not sure what breaks about it other than sheer size. I found that on my desktop after I get over 500k riders a day the game can't handle the map. I wish there was a better soultion. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it, I'm willing to try anything.
While I agree with you from a standpoint of how the game looks, almost all road widths on the map are matched with reality. In this case, the highways in Oakland don't make much sense.
Ethan - I'm not sure what you mean. If you want to unsubscribe from the map you can click unsubscribe from steam. Let me know what you're trying to remove and I can (hopefully) guide you.
My MacbookAir works just fine with it and even my old IMac with 2GB can play it !!!
I'm not sure how I could make the map less reasource intensive for those with worse processers(or possibly Mac/Linux versions being less optimized.) Even if I got rid of all the trees, the map is still covered in objects, and has a massive population. Have you tried a rulset that cuts the population in half?
