For people with general questions and issues with the mod, keep in mind this year it will have been 5 YEARS since the mod was last updated. So the Arcane Achemy mod it mentions is deprecated (and will not work with the AA branch in CC either)
It might also have weird edge cases with mods like Apotheosis and Chemical Curiosities.
This mod will likely still work as it is intended, but just keep in mind the reactions in this mod may yield unexpected or unintended results due to this fact
Also, this mod does not add any new material. Unfamiliar materials you see are either from another mod, or vanilla
more specific questions and answers:
@Yaddah Magical Liquid + Water creates Concentrated Mana, this is likely the cause of your- and everyone else's recurring conc mana issue
@Thicc Daddy that is likely Magus Elixir added by Apotheosis (completely unrelated to this mod)
@JCGemX Chemical Curiosities has different internal material names for the AA branch, so it will not work
@June Mirth that is a material added by Chemical Curiosities and Arcane Alchemy. If you are using CC, you can go into mod settings and disable the AA branch in its entirety
10/10 mod
I found out this mod makes urine + soil/ground turn into poo which was kinda funny, but also pretty bad since the poo then mixes with water to make diarrhoea, which is really hard to swim in and is flammable.
now im gonna know the secrets for making cheese
just askin'
Arcane Alchemy
Fluid Dynamics
Alchemical Reactions expansion
Like this? And above or below world-mods like New Biomes / Noitavania?
Didn't know about that mod until I saw your comment, I will definitely look into it and add some reactions eventually.
Sorry but the corrupted rock conversion is hardcoded into the game, and speeding up the lava+metal reaction would cause an issue in a certain secret area that is made of metal and surrounded by lava.
1. Speed up the conversion rate of lava+metal and corrupted rock by 50%, they are way too slow IMO
1. Sure
2. For me, pouring a magical liquid onto lava creates about a 50/50 split of Base Potion Gas and Fluid Dynamics gas. This is enough for me but I can increase the blob radius on that reaction and add new reactions between Base Potion Gas and the Fluid Dynamics Gases to form Base Potion.
But also, you can use a kiuaskivi (fire stone) to boil magic liquids into Base Potion Gas. I know this isn't perfect because they're pretty rare, but it's an alternative that's much better if you can find one.
1. Hungry slime turns normal slime into more hungry slime (the more things to turn into hungry slime the better obv)
2. Can you add some new way to get more base potion? As when boiling stuff on lava most of it turns into gas from fluid dynamics and not into base potion.
I don't think this is related to void liquid, combining purifying powder with a healing liquid causes it to explode, that's just a vanilla reaction.
I think it would conflict with the secret recipes. I don't know how the new secret recipes work because it seems they changed the algorithm in 1.0. For all I know, maybe they added a check to make sure the recipe doesn't use ingredients that already react. But I doubt it, so unfortunately it seems adding more reactions makes the secret recipes less and less likely to be possible on a given run. I wouldn't know how to solve this.
Yes, after a while. It may take a while for me to think of reactions to add that don't interfere with the design of the original mods, plus there's just a lot more materials to consider.
I really like the mod you made, but my question is, Will there be support for mods adding various other elements? to the Arcane Alchemy?
Yeah void liquid is pretty destructive in this mod because it's pretty rare to come across it naturally. But with random reactions or another mod that uses void liquid, this can be a problem. If you want, you can disable the void liquid reaction that turns things into corrupted rock, just go into the materials_append file and delete the reaction between void_liquid and [alchemy].
The entire world becomes corrupted rock, id recommend blacklisting the void liquid when using this mod.
