My favourite part of neoliberalism is the cheap housing prices.

and spending, (in the 70s btw) and the people eventually fixed the system, which ended up privatizing a lot of government entities, but keep in mind healthcare isn't one of these, whats even more baffelling, is that Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland turned out to be more economically free then the United States of America, additionally, American politicians and internet influencers have cried out that Scandinavia is a democratic socialist paradise. But I still do think a single payer healthcare plan would work better then government sponsored monopolies tasting the American proletariat's money.

TLDR neo liberals are the greatest enemy to mankind, damn chocolate chip ice cream

anything else that may potentially hurt another business who can or does have control over audits done by the state and local communities deciding if they would allow any construction to commence. Its the same trap I think a lot of centrists and leftists fall into when debating with "actually" economically right wing individuals, that being, that many different misconceptions about different countries, terms, in the world. Like Scandinavian socialism, which if people had actually looked into it, Sweden used to be something pretty close, if not actual socialism, with extreme tax

I'm pretty sure neo liberals are pretty right wing, i'd even say that neo liberals are more right wing then libertarians. Neo liberalism in its current form, (the United States today) is not free market in many ways, and many libertarians would even see it as a state capitalist system pretending to be free market, this is because the government directly works with corporations and economical entities, and end up demanding legislation to be passed that would help them, and push out competition, (Jeff Bezos and other companies supporting the federal $15 minimum wage) bailouts and favoritism to big business from government entities, and many cities, (mostly) having dreadful regulations and noncompetitive bribery to disallow competition to build infrastructure, land, or

This is the most Leftist Version of "NeoLiberal" Ideas Ive ever seen its baisically Mutalism, if only that were true if only that were true buddy...
Timewinders  [author] 2 May, 2021 @ 9:48am
@patricknadur: Usually neoliberals are a bit to the left of libertarians. Basically free markets + civil rights + welfare, with an emphasis on technocratic solutions to problems. Libertarians generally are in favor of civil rights and free markets but not so much welfare and they tend to see minimizing the role of the state as a priority, whereas neoliberals tend to believe regulation is often necessary but should be made less cumbersome when possible. A neoliberal would be in favor of a carbon tax and environmental protection regulations, for example. I didn't include many welfare policies in this mod because the base game already has most of the ones you would need.
patricknadur 1 May, 2021 @ 12:06am
why you call it neoliberal and not libertarian?
Timewinders  [author] 21 Dec, 2020 @ 9:37pm
@all: New version is out now, should be updated to reduce illegal immigration and real estate bubble situations if you have the appropriate policies.
Timewinders  [author] 21 Dec, 2020 @ 9:09pm
@pfennell: Got it, I'll include it in my next update.
Timewinders  [author] 21 Dec, 2020 @ 9:08pm
@King Of Bees: Yeah, makes sense. I'll update once I get around to playing the latest version of the game.
pfennell 19 Dec, 2020 @ 11:12pm
Could you please make the Housing Construction Subsidy effect the housing bubble?
KING OF BEES 17 Dec, 2020 @ 3:02pm
With the new illegal immigration overhaul, I think it would make sense for immigration reform to affect illegal immigration.

Also I humbly suggest a Taco Truck meme policy.
somnitek 2 Dec, 2020 @ 10:03pm
I feel a bit silly asking this but is the Earned Income Tax Credit a sort of stand in for having more niche controls over who gets taxed at what rate according to income levels or something else?

Also, I was thinking about how you might implement such an income tax system in the game, along with a marginal tax rate (according to income)... Any thoughts and I'd practically love you for it! I see the game doesn't look terribly difficult to mod, but if this is something you were interested in, let me say here now you or someone else is more than welcome to steal these "ideas." ;-)
emrullahguenes 25 Nov, 2020 @ 10:30am
Thank you very much! Nice it´s fixed! PS: This is my favourite Mod, specially in D3 ;)
Timewinders  [author] 25 Nov, 2020 @ 7:42am
@all: The issue should be fixed now.
Timewinders  [author] 21 Nov, 2020 @ 12:10pm
Yeah, I think this was working a couple days ago but I think one of the recent updates must have broken the mod. I'll look into it.
emrullahguenes 21 Nov, 2020 @ 11:21am
Me too. Can you update your mod?
johnsonteam3 21 Nov, 2020 @ 4:13am
You're Mod Is Causing My Game To Crash When Ever I Try To Start It. Something About Invalid Neural Function: [Unemployment, 1 -(1*x)] & Policy Data Corrupted:D:\programming

I love your mod but it causes my games to collapse i don't know if you can fix this or not.
MarkJerue 1 Nov, 2020 @ 11:21am
The devs for the game may implement some of these, but I have a loooong list (at 50 items atm) of items to potentially add in in terms of balancing. https://forums.positech.co.uk/t/list-of-minor-bugs-tweaks/16446
HippoMan 31 Oct, 2020 @ 8:03am
@Timewinders thank you for this. Subscribed now though I hope it doesn't conflict with More Taxes since both of you have land value tax :) Hope you continue this work it's very interesting.
Timewinders  [author] 29 Oct, 2020 @ 9:19am
@HippoMan: Fixed. Not sure why that happened.
HippoMan 29 Oct, 2020 @ 5:14am
Great work. I'm interested in the mod but is there a full changelog? :)

The description appears cut.
Timewinders  [author] 26 Oct, 2020 @ 8:51pm
@hgraffer: For example, foreign aid now boosts global GDP slightly, which has a small positive effect for your GDP as well. High productivity reduces the frequency of farmers in the population since highly productive economies tend to have only a small percentage of the population farming enough food to feed everyone due to modern agricultural processes. Also, not really an economic effect, but unemployment benefits now appease trade unionists. It makes sense and there aren't that many ways to please them in the base game.
TheUnknown 24 Oct, 2020 @ 5:04pm
AHHH YOU'RE TICKLING MY POLITICAL BONER
euckenwilloch 24 Oct, 2020 @ 2:22pm
Nice work! What kind of "economic effects" have you changed?
Tommy 23 Oct, 2020 @ 11:22am
@timewinders mess ignore me its from another mod I just thought it was base game
Timewinders  [author] 22 Oct, 2020 @ 11:03pm
@Tommy: I don't see a land value tax in the base game. Do you mean the property tax? Because that is somewhat different.
Tommy 22 Oct, 2020 @ 6:57pm
Love the mod, especially the desalination policy, just wanted to point out there is already a land value tax in the base game
