No, because it is my first mod, so I want to keep it. And it is present on loads of collections still, so it acts as a guide to the new version.

NEW VERSION OF EGGONS WORTHWILE CARS IS AVAILABLE!

Dear subscribers!

New version of EWC is available: Eggon's Worthwile Cars 2.0 !
It offers:
1) Full optionality of features via Sandbox Settings!
2) Option to adjust rate of capacity loss, not only block it.
3) Option to adjust trunk capacities themselves - starting from vanilla base values or Eggon's values - for both vanilla and modded cars!
4) Increased compatibility with other car mods!
5) Lower probability of PZ patches to break the mod.

In order to switch from EWC to EWC 2.0 just add to your savegame EWC 2.0 with the support mods and remove EWC.

From now on EWC is considered obsolete and will no longer be supported. :stress:

oh, so that's a mod? This mod blocks damage, so does not make sense to change a trunk because of dsmage. And changing a trunk to a bigger one is completely unrealistic. Car's trunk is what it is. It can't be bigger or smaller.

@Taeleus I've started working on a new version of this mod that should solve vehicle updates problems and also incompatibility issues with other mods (as well as bring some other benefits). At the moment I'm planning to release it as a new workshop item, not an update to this, but there will be obviously an announcement in comments here, so stay tuned.

I did some digging and they did indeed change something with how cars are handled. Too sleep deprived to go into further detail but it was some kinda change to prevent a glitch where regular users were able to spawn/delete cars on servers if I remember correctly. Ive setup several servers with different mods at this point and all seem to play the same. unless im a dolt and im missing something obvious (which is entirely possible)

@Taeleus If there have been updates to cars it might indeed cause unexpected behavior. If the one described by you - IDK.
@Speculoos - VVE's description suggests that these 2 mods are indeed incompatible.

Doing some digging here. On our server dismantled cars dont disappear unless an admin is the one to do it. This mod hasnt been updated in a long time. Is it possible that with the recent-ish update to how cars are listed in the string this is causing issues? Side note, it also affects the expanded helicopter mods crashed choppers.

@Clebenstein I did not alter noise of sirens. IDK even where it is defined. If it is defined in the cars' files and TIS changed them after I last updated the mod, then it might overwrite them to old value. If not, then it should not.

@don jark Sorry, no idea. EWC will definitely not change size, it might block capacity reduction if that other mod allows it.

@meowmix505 You're first person to mention that mod. IDK it unfortunatelly. But its description says that : 'This mod will also likely conflict with any other mod out there that fiddles with the files for the vanilla cars." which makes it very likely to clash with EWC. However the behavior you described seems a bit strange as EWC does not affect already spawned vehicles. It only provides alternative data for spawning. The best thing you can do is start a test game with both the mods enabled and see what happened.

Just letting you know that I have played a fair bit with this mod and the cruisers from Small Town Responders enabled and outside of one issue where vanilla cruisers spawned instead of the mod ones in Louisville (which doesn't necessarily have to do anything with this mod) I couldn't see any issues.

Seems to work perfectly fine, probably because all the vehicles are reskins of the Filibuster Rhymes modded cars.

Are there any known compatibility issues with this mod and Vanilla Vehicle Enhancer? When I turned this mod on all the police cars/Fossoil trucks in my save reverted back to their vanilla look. I'm a bit of newbie to mods so I honestly don't know if it could just be something else or something I could fix on my end.

@Tex That sounds like Steam sync issues. Try unsubbing, closing the game and server, resubbing, restarting.

@Eggon - I appreciate you - The vanilla values of the specific trunks are in the included paste - untested yet because I've been busy but I have comments in the /serverfiles/media/scripts/vehicles/vehiclesitems.txt to change the values, their defaults (after I believe they were altered by the mod are: https://pastebin.com/TarzzuTe

@{CY6} Capt. I'm a bit confused - what are the vanilla values now? EWC did significantly increase trunk capacities for the largest cars up to 300 that you mentioned. How is that small? Removing the mod will not impact already spawned vehicles, so maybe that's why you had the impression nothing happened. To modify vehicles to your values you'd need to modify either game's files or EWC's files. Vehicles have trunks assigned to them - you may either assign a different trunk or increase the capacity of the trunk - that will impact all cars using this particular trunk.

@Ducky Refrigerator Spiffo is not really compatible with EWC, EWC should just prevent capacity reduction. In other aspects RFV overwrites EWC.

Love this mod and feel it's a must have for mod lists.

I'm not entirely sure why but Refrigerated Spiffo Van Trunk isn't working with this mod anymore despite being listed as compatible? It seems to overwrite it completely unless I turn it off.

@Jessica | FideeraNab I am planning to do a completely new version of this mod (so it will not be an upgrade, but separate steam item) that would allow optionality of all the features. Not sure though if and when I'll have time to pull it off...

Any chance of a toggle setting that still allows trunk damage to reduce capacity? I love the mod but it does essentially make Trunk Condition completely irrelevant.

@[Toxic Rain]GawdStone I don't see how this mod could prevent joining a server and am not aware of any recommended load order. Servers in PZ have tendency to not work for no apparent reasons and after restarting/recreating suddenly start working. I had such situations reported on various mods. There was nothing wrong with the mods though. If you don't see any errors I am unable to help more than that unfortunatelly.

I had an issue where no one can join my server when I had this mod along side Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars. Is their a certain load order I need to be aware of?

No issues on my end on a dedicated server for over 3 weeks now. Even updating to 41.66 went without a hitch.
