I have several playable races mods like playable snapjaws, insectoids and kobolds among others, but when I add this mod it erases them all from the character creation menu. So where there was once a large selection of different races it's now just mutants, true kin and bears.

As of 2023-07-19 you need to mangle the Genotypes.xml file that the mod ships with (specifically you need to remove an extra <Genotypes> opening tag), and delete or rename/remove the PopulationTables.xml file, as it causes the game to crash just after worldgen, but if you do those things, you can still play as a bear in 2023 :)

Game keeps crashing when I try to play as a bear. Any chance for a fix?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It appears that the bear templates included with the game are heavily limited in what can be equipped as they are intended to be enemy creatures rather than playable. I have added in additional Genotypes that are 'Ursiib' (the template that the Barathrumites use) which will allow for a more vanilla playstyle with the sprites.

I kept the original genotypes intact as to not break anyone's run, but let me know if you have any issues.

Are bears not supposed to be able to use 2h weapons? I only can do so with the multiple arms mut. What's equippable in the tail and left/right hindfeet and forefeet?

Butchery makes some sense from a realistic bear perspective and it adds a bit more to the subtypes. Maybe Harvestry doesn't so much haha

For the stinger, I have not tested this mod with any others, but that is rather odd that the tail attaches to the forefeet. It must be coded to be "Tail goes in X slot" and since the bear archetype has additional it gets attached there

Enjoy this mod quite a bit! Curious why the bears start with harvestry and butchery though? Also, with the WM Extended mutations mod, the serpentine tail is attached to the forefeet, which is mostly just kind of funny, as you end up hand-sliding around everywhere. Also, when you grow extra arms they have thumbs, instead of the standard bear paws. Thanks for the mod!

please rename Cyber-Bear to Cybear. For reasons
