Just wondering if I'm reading it correctly, but all the Kenshi weapons and armour added can't be used by the player and are locked to the Reaper NPCs only?

The Kenshi fauna and Crossbows give me great hope of one day playing a Kenshi game in RimWorld.

Here's hoping we get the United Cities, Holy Nation, as well as custom bandit factions. Maybe some more robot-like Skeletons. Combined with some selectively-edited tech tree restrictions, it could be phenomenal. All that's missing is some Prison Labor updates and compatibility, a mod with the Kenshi music, and you can have a proper themed run.

Wanting a bit of help getting set up, not sure if i'm missing something as i'm kind of new to Rimworld and modding. I have downloaded the Mods and save file for F&F. When i click new colony I chose the F&F options, Randy but when i hit the map screen its random every time and I still lots of factions including hostile ones. Is this right or am I missing something? Watch all the F&F episodes up to date and really want to give it a bash myself.

@Rhadamant I think I phrased it incorrectly. The quest gave me chickens and roosts, and obviously, they mated. I think its because you removed vanilla animals/products that chickens laid Raptor eggs. I kept the raptors but killed all the male ones, I believe it is a challenge by itself, feeding those animals.

Yes, gorillos are supposed to be tamable

There might be some bugs with quests involving vanilla animals, but asking to take care of chickens and being given raptor eggs is very strange, I'll look into that.

Are we supposed to be able to tame gorillos? I somehow managed to tame 2 of those, and winter are much much easier for me now! Also, when I completed a destroy camp quest, map suddenly vanished so one of my pawns vanished, had to reload and dev mode to quickly finish that quest and get out of there immediately. I don't know which year I'm at now, but I think I'll finish this challenge soon. Climate change is no longer an issue for me. Crab shells are perfect material for summer clothing and as I said, GORILLO wool is perfect for winter. Oh, and another bug. Someone sent me their chickens to look after them and now I have 18 fertilized swamp raptor eggs.

i have an idea for a future feature: hacking skeletons to force them on your side if you capture one, the procedure would take a long time and will most likely result in either the skeleton going mad or an explosion if the hack fails which will be most of the time, if you do the hack successfully then you get the skeleton on your side.

Any chance we could get a version of this mod for just the content? I like the idea of adding the Kenshi animals to my game, but I'm not keen on playing the scenario, or replacing existing animals for them.

I know there are already mods for the races and equipment, but not for the animals.

The ancient skeleton backstory is a known bug, as is the drug issues.

As for sand and water, the challenge is intended with the supplied save game file and that is how biomes are normally generated, so that's fine.

I'll look into the slaver caravans selling incorrect animals.

Additional note, you can grow the Sessile Mechanoid Trees once you've got stony soil, if you can control the temperature while also keeping the tiles where you grow the trees unroofed.

A few details I've noticed that are either bugs, or at least, unintended interactions while I was playing.

Humans can get the Ancient Skeleton backstory.
Ancient Skeletons raiders can be high on drugs.
Sand and Water can appear in this biome if you start near a shoreline.
Moisture Pumps will turn shallow water into stony soil, allowing you to grow things not normally possible, like Devilstrand.
I had a slaver caravan from the civil outlander faction selling grizzly bears and polar bears.
