In principle, a good class, with cool visuals.
Of the minuses, perhaps, is that it is designed for playing in complete darkness (although some people play in the dark and it’s fine for them), well, it’s not clear what the trinket for riposte is for, it’s useless because -66% damage + -33% for riposte makes the hero a complete mess.

the problem with his artstyle is that all the characters in this game are the same height except him who is much taller, the lines used to draw him were too thin, and he's overly detailed. the colors are fine and the animations don't need to be changed, just the sprites themselves

I tried the class and after many runs with the count i must say a couple of things...
He dosent feel like a frontliner; his ACC is low for such a title, not even mentioning poor DMG (Darkness bonus dosen't count, too situational and affects only 2/7 skills, one of them enabling stun at 0 torch...), he feels more of a support 'damage' dealer.
Artwork is great, I dunno why ppl whine about it in the comments below lmao, his responces are very nice to various situations and his camping skills are strong, disease resist maxed as well as deathblow resist being 69 (I see what you did there).
Overall alright but PLEASE attend to his DMG potential, he's too clunky and most of the time, even if used with synergy, feels like he's the worst.

So, i've played with this guy for a couple of runs. His abilities are alright, and they work as intended, besides when he sets his enemies on fire, i genuinely feel like there needs to be a DOT. Otherwise the monsters being ablaze feels Null. But i believe the biggest issue that i and more than likely many of us have. His art style, i appreciate what you've done with him and how you've attempted to implement this fairly good class. But he needs an overhaul on his art overall. I don't mean to sound like a prude or an asshole, i'm just giving criticism where it's due in all respectful regards.

Not sure if the count is supposed to be resistant to disease. Planning to turn the count into a darkspawn with the voivode and blackguard mod to create a no torch team, but voivode's goblet acts as a disease check.

Sorry there is one more last thing: The riposte skill has .ignore_protection true. It is a completely armor-piercing skill, but players cannot get to know this. It is highly recommended to write a tooltip for this too.

And one more thing... please forgive my rudeness if I have misunderstood something. The permanent riposte trinket has already -33% riposte damage, so why does the riposte skill definition in the info file has a -30% dmg too?

Anyway thank you for making this great mod, the Count is one of my favourite heroes.

Report a bug (or probably a bug) in the trinket "count_portrait".

There are four damage debuffs defined (count_portrait_dmgh_debuff, count_portrait_dmgl_debuff, count_portrait_dmgh, count_portrait_dmgl) but I found that there are only three used in the trinket. That count_portrait_dmgh_debuff is missing.

Besides, the rule_type of count_portrait_dmgh_debuff is "riposte" while that of count_portrait_dmgl_debuff is "always".

If the true meaning of this permanent riposte trinket is only -66% "Min" damage, but not -66% "Min & Max" damage, then it is suggested to use a tooltip for it too, since RedHook do NOT separate the description of min and max dmg buff. They will be written into one, thus cause players can never get to know the buff only affects the Min DMG but not the Max DMG.

Really like the eternal, and find her quite useful, but this guy? I'm not sure where he belongs. He doesn't exactly do great damage, and doesn't have much utility other than the "protect the master!" skill. I DO like that ability alot though, can't really justify bringing him over other base vanilla classes. Doesn't benefit from crits whatsoever? The dot ability is underwhelming, don't know why I would choose that over a standard ability that does upfront damage.

This is probably my fav class mod of yours. I love the romanticized vampire aesthetic, I've been waiting for someone to take on a concept like this for hella long.
I've noticed a few bugs since I started using it:

1. I'm able to buy both his lvl 4 armor & weapon while he is at 4 resolve. His lvl 4 guild skills are also much cheaper than everyone else's. Idk if this is intentional or not, but I noticed this today.
2. His 'Schattenstachel' is def bugged, since the 'steal stealth' does not seem to work, nor stay on him for more than a second.
3. His 'very rare' trinket 'A Poem of Love.' can only be sold for 1,500 gold, unlike other very rare trinkets. Idk if this is intentional, either.

On a personal note, I still think the Count is a little too weak. He doesn't have a reliable attack that lets him deal full damage, & I feel like the damage on his 'bite' (probably his best skill) is underwhelming in terms of damage/health healing. Other than that, love using him! Such a classy guy.

Report a bug on buff file override.

In the file count_trinket.buffs.json, there is a buff named "STRESSDMG-15", which is +15% stress received percent. But in Redhook's official buff file "base.buffs.json", there is another "STRESSDMG-15", and it is -15% stress received percent. This conflict will cause vanilla heroes that using this buff to be override by your Count.

I have noticed you had wrote "COUNTSTRESSDMG-10" for the Count. So I recommend just change the other two buffs named "STRESSDMG-15" and "STRESSDMG-35" into IDs of "COUNTSTRESSDMG-15" and "COUNTSTRESSDMG-35" (and those in the trinket entry files have to be changed too). Although there is no "STRESSDMG-35" in vanilla files thus no conflict, it is better to change it too, in order to avoid potential risk with other new mods.

Lastly, thank you for making this mod, it is a great work.

I like the mod class. Although, my gripe is with Adelszorn. The fire animation looks unnatural to me. I'd like it a lot better if it looks just like the torch fire animation and if it had a cackling fire sound effect.

I can tell. He seems to be made for 0 Torchlight. But still, I thought he wasn't intended to be strong enough to solo entire dungeons by himself. So, I just thought I'd let you know.

@TheRealMe that is actually the idea for the character, he is more or less mean to used higher diffculties, and he only ever really becomes powerful until its pitchblack, but which skill is over powered? I'd like to improve him in anyway.

Just saying, but I can reliably solo Bloodmoon Champion Long Dungeons at Pitchblack Torchlight with this mod character. One of his skills is just hilariously overpowered.
