but yea i love this mod (the whole mod i only found out version one of the factional hero ship mod was the one i was using in my frequent playing due to subscribing to them all and booting up the game after i posted the first message) but i would love the utility of a capital class hero ship for my hero's

eh im in it for the sand boxing, but think of it as a optional mod for those who look for that kinda mod (aka those like me who would love for a capital factional hero)

@weregamer: I would recommend you to use the mod "Arkon Faction Heroes Ships". That's a bigger challenge. And put the mod to the end of the loading order (last position). Ah, some of the blueprints are for the medium designs ... Have fun!

Actually, in the original mod I personally can modify the plans and upgrade the ships, but can't build new ones. Also, if I get, say, "shuttle" from two different curiosities, I end up with two plans named "shuttle".

I suspect both of these issues are from subtle mod interactions; I have 20 or so mods running and yours are near but not at the bottom.

@weregamer: Yep. In this mod the pirate ships and in your example the fleet in the Vodyani quest are the vanilla ones (base game). Not very challinging. In the early stages of the game the only real enemies of your hero ships are the heroes of the opposing empires. And in the original mod (spoiler) some exploration quests rewards your empire with some blueprints of ships of the minor factions. So your shipyards can re-equip, upgrade and build this ship types. The orig mod maybe a little bit hardcore ...

Ah, OK. So, for a couple of examples to see if I understand:

* The pirate ships early in the Vodyani faction quest would be beefed in the original mod, and not here, so players who put their first hero into space would be equally challenged in the original mod but those who do not would be overwhelmed.

* The ship reward for the curiosity quest that costs 10 titanium and 2 probes would be underwhelming in this mod but rebalanced in the original.

@weregamer: Simple answer ---> all quests that spawn ships in the game. In the original mod all ships that appear through quests and events have major improvements. The number of enemy ships is also increased in the mod. This makes the game more difficult as you can encounter nasty dangers while exploring planets. However, this affects all empires in the game. And not every player likes this uncertainty, hence this version of the mod ...

I understand that. But in the original mod you say you "changed some quests and pirate ships", here you say you didn't change that other stuff, but you *never* say which quests or ships. Which quests, particularly, is what I'd like to know.

@weregamer: This mod is an alternative version of the original "Faction Heroes Ships" mod wich affected and changed some game quests and ships of the pirates, minor factions and the marketplace. This is the difference to this mod ...
