I don't think it will technically change so everything should remain compatible. I also don't use the Steam API directly and use an API provided by gmod instead.

steam is introducing new family sharing in the beta branch, which eventually will be pushed to stable, main changes will include a name change to "steam families" and will allow only for 5 people max in your "family", if you wanna leave your current "family" you need to wait one year in order to rejoin another one or the previous one

Those are console variables meant to be used to configure the addon. None of them is supposed to print anything when changed.
