do you have a holographic wall that still has the holographic characteristic since the game kinda wipes it when you use spray a brain there's no way to roleplay as a wall that can't be touched atm unless this mod fixes that issue, side note chrome pyramids can kill literally any wall type with their melee attack eventually same with certain vibro weapons.

As far as I remember, yeah metal walls are basically immortal. They don't have as much cold resist as glass and maybe they're missing more equipment slots than others, but otherwise I don't remember any major drawbacks.
