It's on the works, no worries! But it takes some time, a bit more difficult than I thought.

I think block damage could help, if it means the monsters don't get stuck into the ground. As for being the Co Author, how about asking Supper if you can take over his mod and upload it with more compatibility? It should make things alot easier. Also a Pandora's Box Patch would be good. I hope all goes well. Good luck.

By the way if you want a patch with Pandora's Box I can look into that too.

No worries! I'm glad someone is still requesting something so I know Starbound isn't dead yet lol.

I actually once asked Supper if I can be a co-author so I can maintain his mod, unfortunately Steam Workshop doesn't allow co-author to update files (which is pretty dumb IMO). Some parts in Sup's script could use a little bit of rework to make it more compatible with more mods.

Anyway, the patch for Wulf's mod is done already. However due to Sup's new monster behavior, and the Archaic Beast's sheer size, they may get stuck underground. I'm still tweaking it a little bit to make sure they don't get stuck and make for an easy kill.

Any idea? Maybe making them do block damage every time they stomp the ground.

I'm glad to hear that you're looking more into monster.lua and I agree Supper's Combat Overhaul could have been more scalable. It's a great mod, it's fatal weakness is it's modification of monster AI. The only solution I can really think of is a Combat Overhaul minus the monster modifications, though still not as good as the full combat overhaul, at least players can use it without worrying about monsters suddenly dying. As for the more monsters conflict, I think I mixed it with Pandora's Box since that also adds modified variants of vanilla monsters. In any case good luck and thanks for considering Wulf's Archaic Monsters patch.

Eh, no need to apologize! No worries. I'm happy to take requests as long as it's still within the scope of my knowledge.

Requests also give me ideas what to tinker with. Your requests made me delve into monster.lua further and made realize that Supper's mod could've been written to be more scalable (than what it is now)...

Anyway, I've been working on Wulf's Archaic Beast compatibility patch. Fortunately it's not difficult so I can release it sometime soon. I've also checked More Vanilla monsters and it seems they're not conflicting with anything? At least on my end.

Unobtainium is the only one I haven't looked into. I'll get to it maybe in the weekdays since I have some work to do this weekend.

For Wulf's Archaic Beasts, I mainly use it, since they make obtaining vault keys easier seeing that these creatures drop vault keys and good weapons upon defeat, as for FU, Upon looking through the FU wiki, it seems FU modified/have it's own variants of many vanilla creatures(now I understand why Sentient Supper didn't want to make it FU compatible and considering the frequent updates it receives it only makes it that much worse)So I understand why making a FU patch would take a long time if one were to even be made. You can skip making a FU patch, that seems to be WAY too much work. As for the others such as the more monster series, it doesn't seem to bad since they just add about 3-5 new variants of each vanilla monster, although making a separate patch for each mod seems ridiculous. So I also understand not making a patch. Sorry for wasting your time, I should've looked into these mods more before asking for a patch. That's alot of work to do.

*For FU I mean. For other mods since they are relatively small I can check the conflicts immediately.

I haven't looked at the other mods (except Wulf's Archaic Beasts), but my guess they conflicted because they all modify the same file: monster.lua (the script used to generate monster).

I think if you have Supper's Combat Overhaul already, Wulf's Archaic Beasts would be redundant. Both have large miniboss monsters. Any reason why you're using that?

Anyway, I can take a look at other mods, though no promise in regards to FU. I need a hand on that, since FU is very large and need a fair amount of time to investigate the conflicting files. If you (or anyone) can point out which files are conflicting, I can try making a compatibility patch.

Do you think you can make The Combat Overhaul compatible with FU? The main issue is, it causes modified vanilla monsters to die instantly. This issue is also present in Archaic beasts https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1416509971&searchtext=archaic+beasts
Unobtainium Power https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=906686126&searchtext=unobtainium and the more vanilla monsters https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2171689197 That's Supper Combat Overhaul's main problem, it doesn't get along with modified vanilla monsters, if something can be done about that, I think most of Supper Combat Overhaul problems will be squashed.
