I use
cl_bobup 1.0
cl_bobcycle 0.1
Find game.cfg in "Black Mesa/bms/cfg" and open it with notepad. If the file doesn't exist, create it.
Enter the default values, which are:
cl_bobcycle "0"
cl_bobup "0"
cl_bobside "0"
Since this file is scanned every time a map is loaded, it'll run whatever commands you put in it. This way, you can avoid having to disable and re-enable read-only on your config.cfg file every time you want to tweak your settings.
ive tried everything including looking around the comments and followign their instructions
my framerate does drop sometimes, but the viewbob seems to be getting faster and faster overtime
go to config.cfg
find these 3
cl_bobcycle
cl_bobup
cl_bobside
make sure they look like this
cl_bobcycle "0"
cl_bobup "0"
cl_bobside "0"
and then go to the autoexec.cfg and remove the letters entirely see how that works
it goes back to being the same
gosh this is So horrible
Please take this Mod down
its Now stuck in our files Like a tumor
cl_bobup
cl_bobcycle
cl_bobside
set the number value to 0 and if it works let me know
it has a satchel charge bug
and even deleting the file from the autoexec, it just wont disable
pls delete
While also deleting the edit in the autoexec file. You also need to delete it from the config file.
Problem is that the game keeps re-enabling it, not sure why. What I did though was set the files to read-only to prevent that, and voila, you've turned it off.
I think you can disable the read-only after a play session.

Make sure to read the description for it.
Simple cross operation :
60 72 75
0.65 0.78 0.8125
0.13 0.156 0.1625
72 × 0.65 ÷ 60 = 0.78
0.78 × 0.13 ÷ 0.65 = 0.156
Did the same for 75Hz personally.
fps_max 144
cl_bobup 1.0
cl_bobcycle 0.07
cl_bobside 0
To fix this, it turns out you need to update the config.cfg file as well, because that file actually has the following lines:
cl_bobcycle
cl_bobup
cl_bobside
You need to change these values. After that the weapon bob should work as intended
fps_max 60
cl_bobup 0.31
cl_bobcycle 0.228
cl_bobside 0.076
I added a little bit of side bobbing to give the illusion of bobbing up and down. It also should be synced up to every other step taken
fps_max 120
cl_bobup 0.65
cl_bobcycle 0.07
cl_bobside 0
If you want to exaggerate it to more Half-Life levels, try 'cl_bobup' of 0.8-0.9 or so :)
Its like HL1 bob style ^^
