After some time thinking, I decided to replace the fake thruster packs with real thrusters. This will help with the previously lackluster forward acceleration. I was hesitant to do so for the sake of the craft's battery life and CPU usage but it turned out not to be much of an issue :P

And I'll be soon uploading a version that doesn't use DLC blocks for those who don't have them :)
