I don't plan to do anything to remove the soft cap because overriding events is a compatibility nightmare and there are enough of those in my other mods.
In other news, updated for 1.8.

@mreading247: I didn't realise Sway was available to children while Befriend wasn't: if that change hasn't already been made in vanilla I'll look into doing it here.
I've looked over the patch notes and I don't EXPECT any compatibility problems running the current version of the mod with 1.6, but obviously no way to tell in advance.
I do plan an update this week anyway but I may not have time to do so before Thursday at the earliest - again, we'll see.
I'm not planning to further limit befriending people based on personalities - I think that even shy and lazy people can still choose to make friends (sup, past self) and I figure that the stress gains from the schemes/relevant events are enough of a consequence to make it realistic.
Its strange that a shy, lazy and paranoid person can freely befriend...
