I think I understand. Well, I'm changing this mod's name and reverting that value to default.

All it affects is just the hour and minute of the night that is shown to you. No ingame mechanic is updated to that, so pile of rubbish is still taken down at same IRL time.

No, it didn't work. I'm not sure if this mod ever increased the night length. What does it mean "how many in-game seconds the night lasts"? Does it affect things such as the time to clear rubble or loot piles?

Unfortunatelly, this is exactly the issue I am taling about, those values in config do not change the night length. The day duration is easily changed, but "NightSecondsPerGameHour" does not alter night length - it only changes from which hour night starts and how many ingame second the nights last. Therefore, having it at value 360 will show that night lasted for 1 hour, and having it at 60 will show that night lasted 6 hours - but both those cases, night will still last 6 IRL minutes. this value just changes the appereance in the game, not the mechanic itself :(

Did this worked for you? If so, maybe you have another version of the game...?

Then you save and pack the files, exit the modding tool, and in the game's settings disable my mod and enable yours. Let me know how it went.

This mod was supposed to make nights 12 minutes long but they were 10.5 minutes long. I updated it.

@hachihoshi well, I think it's so easy even you can do it (lol)
Going with the saying "give a man a fish (...) teach a man to fish" I'll teach you. You just have to create a new mod using Storyteller.exe in your main game folder, edit that mod you just created (using the same program), and change 2 values in Main Config > Day and night.
Change DayDurationInSeconds from 360 to 1800 and change NightSecondsPerGameHour from 45 to 225.
(night is 8 hours, so 225 * 8 / 60 = 30)
Here are screenshots showing what it should look:

@Krzeszny yes, I would like it very much so :) I tried to work with files in config, but I'm still ending up with longer days, yet night still last for only 6min real time, no matter what I try. I would love loooong nights, I enjoy making stealthy approach at full of armed people places and then patiently wait for them to go around and sneak-attack them. I like games with resources managing, but I really hat the preassure of time, it makes me think about my job ;)

@hachihoshi I could. Remember that the day and night are 6 minutes each as intended by the developers. Are you sure you want 30 minutes instead of 6?
hachihoshi 25 Jun, 2021 @ 7:01am
Dear @Krzeszny, would it be possible to create 30min long night and 30 min long day version of this mod please?

All I can say is that each time you enable any mod, you need to start over. This mod was made merely 8 days ago, so it should work, but I'm not sure if the update on the free weekend was an actual patch or not - I have no info about it.

Dear Krzeszny, is there any way that i can check whether your mod's been conflicted by the others? i do enable yours, however i somehow felt the double-time period mechanism wasn't working.. :steamsad:

YW. I can make a modified version if you want it - night and day length multipliers are separate.

Thank you !
