How about an optional tiny dot or something far less noticeable than a giant square? I definitely am the fool that can't remember where I put my crafting spot with this.

i mean, i'd like to be able to see them while in build mode, but being invisible is MUCH better than those ugly ass circles being there

Got to agree with previous poster, never being able to see the spots just makes them annoying in a new and different way rather than solving any problems.
