This used to work fine, all of a sudden it keeps saying "distance too short" ??? Anyone?

"Transport Hub 03 C" is missing or renamed

I wrote it the description: This is a simple modification of the Sunset Harbor DLC Train-Metro Hub.
VoidGravitational 20 Mar, 2023 @ 10:52pm
Why does this require Sunset Harbour?

When I load game today. Loading Screen Mod Revisited is showing that the asset "Transport Hub 03 C" is missing or renamed by author. The asset is part of this mod.

Same issue as @Zouba64. Works beautifully but center staircase is not being utilized. After exiting the tram, pedestrians are walking down the street to use the crosswalk to cross over to the metro or train.

I love you for this.

Is the center tram part functional? I've been watching this asset for a long time and it doesn't seem that anyone uses the center staircase.

Both - metro and train track - are perfectly working. Maybe I can upload some better screenshots to illustrate that.
You can check that by placing the station and stop moving it. Connect the tracks and you will see that they work. Otherwise people would have been complaining all the time.
You are NOT supposed to move the station with MoveIt. This refers to all stations since it can break internal pedestrian paths.
The fact that moving the station with vanilla option leads to a remaining track, doesn't make it fake. That are the game mechanics. Unfortunately I can not change that. Best thing you can do is trying to place the station as accurate as you need without moving it later on.

I've read the other comments but didn't see anyone had my question/problem; is the second track supposed to be fake or is it a working multi-track station? When I select the station, whether through vanilla "move the building" or the Move-it tool, one of the tracks isn't selected with the building nor is it demolishing apart from the building. Any help you may have with this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Sure. But just changing the track doesn't work. Even though many asset creaters do that and publish their assets, that is incorrect and doesn't work properly. The functionality of a station is not defined by the type of track used, but its attributes. So in order to have a working metro track, the building itself must be a metro station.

Roughly speaking you have to dump this asset with ModTools. Create a new asset using this asset as a template. Import the files you dumped before. You will see the pedestrian bridge, but as a metro version (not train version as it is as default). Then exchange the train station subbuilding with the metro station subbuilding. The problem will be, that it will visually not fit, as it has to be mirrorerd to fit the middle pedestrian bridge. I can explain to you more in private.

I love this asset. It has worked perfectly for me since I downloaded it back in November. I'm wondering, though, whether you would be willing (or tell me how) to replace the metro line with a monorail station. Thanks so much, either way, for this asset and your others, too!

I might acutally do that. I was already thinking about some designs that I like.

Can you make a new hub with train and tram or metro tram ?

Can you make a new hub with train and tram?
Nickayz  [author] 15 Mar, 2021 @ 12:51pm
No, I can't. It is a Sunset Harbor DLC asset - removing the Sunset Harbor requirement would be a violation of Colossal Order's terms.
Tyw7 14 Mar, 2021 @ 8:00pm
Can you make it WITHOUT requiring the Sunset harbor DLC?

Tried bulldozing and rebuilding it. You're right, pedestrians now enter on either side to get to the train or metro station. I'm not so sure about the median though. I think they only use the bridge to get in/out of the stations, and not as a regular path to get to the other side of the street.
Nickayz  [author] 4 Feb, 2021 @ 6:12am
That's weird. I really spent some time on placing the pedestrian path that way, that pedestrians use it and wait at the tram stop on both sides (I had issues with cims waiting only on one side). So I can assure you, that there is a pedestrian path right in the middle.

Can you try deleting and rebuilding the station? It is common, that pedestrian paths break, when you move a building with MoveIt! mod. Or maybe you have some adjustments in Traffic Manager, which affect the part of the street with the station.
Besides, you can try building the station in a vanilla game without mods, if that doesn't help and give me feedback about that.

Beautiful! But the pedestrian bridge doesn't seem to be working properly. Nobody can reach the tram station in the median unless I add an intersection for them to cross the street. Pedestrians also prefer to go all the way around to the other side if they want to reach the train/metro station.

Yeah, it's the elite tram tracks by Jerenable (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1279213021&searchtext=elite+tram) . Clus also has really nice LRT tracks.
Nickayz  [author] 7 Dec, 2020 @ 3:52pm
Can you post a link to the elite tram tracks? I see a couple of different ones.
Zooba 7 Dec, 2020 @ 1:20pm
Do you think you could make this asset with the elite tram tracks? It looks like a great asset but imo the default tram tracks are kind of ugly :p
delroy1989 21 Nov, 2020 @ 12:32pm
omg thank you for this asset, keep doing things like these, love the work :D Keep it up :D
purplehusky94 21 Nov, 2020 @ 5:35am
omg thank you for sharing this asset, i was wanting something similar to this because CO haven't made a hub that connects trams
