You can check that by placing the station and stop moving it. Connect the tracks and you will see that they work. Otherwise people would have been complaining all the time.
You are NOT supposed to move the station with MoveIt. This refers to all stations since it can break internal pedestrian paths.
The fact that moving the station with vanilla option leads to a remaining track, doesn't make it fake. That are the game mechanics. Unfortunately I can not change that. Best thing you can do is trying to place the station as accurate as you need without moving it later on.
Sure. But just changing the track doesn't work. Even though many asset creaters do that and publish their assets, that is incorrect and doesn't work properly. The functionality of a station is not defined by the type of track used, but its attributes. So in order to have a working metro track, the building itself must be a metro station.
Roughly speaking you have to dump this asset with ModTools. Create a new asset using this asset as a template. Import the files you dumped before. You will see the pedestrian bridge, but as a metro version (not train version as it is as default). Then exchange the train station subbuilding with the metro station subbuilding. The problem will be, that it will visually not fit, as it has to be mirrorerd to fit the middle pedestrian bridge. I can explain to you more in private.
Can you try deleting and rebuilding the station? It is common, that pedestrian paths break, when you move a building with MoveIt! mod. Or maybe you have some adjustments in Traffic Manager, which affect the part of the street with the station.
Besides, you can try building the station in a vanilla game without mods, if that doesn't help and give me feedback about that.
