@Blackouto000 you ever find out if it works on 1.5?
Blackouto000 19 Apr, 2024 @ 6:20am
Does this work on 1.5, also, why isn't there a continued version of this yet?
BeanSlinger419 28 Oct, 2023 @ 6:38pm
Can confirm, no issues in 1.4
苍白而蔷薇 18 Aug, 2023 @ 3:36am
This mod has no problem at all in 1.4
Mismagius 12 Dec, 2022 @ 11:08pm
@ProfileName so far, the mod works perfectly fine for 1.4
ProfileName 14 Nov, 2022 @ 3:25pm
Is this mod actually good for 1.4? Or?
Mismagius 29 Oct, 2022 @ 1:31pm
from my end, the mod still works for 1.4
ProfileName 26 Oct, 2022 @ 10:38am
I have to ask, how have people been receiving this mod?
(and yes, I'm waiting for 1.4, it shouldn't be an issue though)
izarius 22 Oct, 2022 @ 12:14pm
1.4?
Toknak 20 Aug, 2022 @ 9:28pm
Still around? Would love to see those patches you made for SOS2 and Proxy Heat added in.
Maybe even an all-around "Climate Control" machine added in, to keep interiors at a stable temp without having to build the other two machines.
hi117 10 Mar, 2022 @ 9:57pm
@JagdCrab I'm seeing the same issue. The coolers only work when they are in the range for "low" power mode. If the temperature goes outside that range, then they stop working until the temperature falls into that range again. I tried taking a look at the code and I couldn't find anything too obvious comparing to other coolers.

Could we get compatibility with the LWPN/Wireless Power from Power++? I'd like to stop any wires from running all over my base and as of right now, this is the only electrical item that doesn't have the LWPN connectivity.
Jesus of Nazareth 15 Oct, 2021 @ 12:21pm
Try RIMMSqol if you wanna remove a mods building. It's very easy to do and takes about 3-4 minutes tops.

It's a great mod for tweaking values and things in various mods without having to manually mess with the XML files each update. Instead the values are stored via RIMMSqol itself and can be applied to the next update of a mod unless something drastic changed, in which case it's just a tiny inconvenience anyways.
Rincewind 3 Oct, 2021 @ 6:03pm
>That is good, but not for me.
And who gives a F. about it? lol
Ask nicely or make it by your own.
Make a mod's copy and comment few strings in xml to remove "cheaty things"
Ba Leon Ig 22 Sep, 2021 @ 11:32pm
I never insulted you. You think this way, lol.
InFeaRn0 22 Sep, 2021 @ 11:29pm
Here we go. Thanks for the info about bugs.
Good luck with insulting people.
Ba Leon Ig 22 Sep, 2021 @ 11:26pm
So you are continuing. Hm. I thought you will be a little bit... Especially when I showed you your mistake twice using special "words" to not to be banned. But NWM.

There is a bug that Mile did not fix. Sometimes in the endgame cooler or heater just don't want to work and you need to destroy it and build it again. I had this after 40+ hours of gaming.

1 and 3. Сheck mod's page and you will see comments about mod's bugs.
2. Not "maybe" for me. 100%.
4. Of coure that is not an insult! How dare I to insult someone?! That is rediqulous! I mean: if you have nothing to do that doesn't mean you need to start useless dialogue with someone to give that person useless advice. Especially if someone doesn't ask about this. Besides this, you have other things to do! Housework for example or taking a nap. Or, maybe, you should visit your parents / grandparents? They are missing you (or not?)...

You are welcome!
InFeaRn0 22 Sep, 2021 @ 3:33am
@Reisen Abe

1,3 There is Quantum Cooling (Continued) mod, without those "cheaty" things
2. Useless to you maybe
4. Sound more like insult than something useful to read, but okay. If something bothers me so much, I'd rather learn how to mod Rimworld than insult random people in comments section))

Anyway thanks for your answer.
Ba Leon Ig 21 Sep, 2021 @ 6:19am
@InFeaRn0

1. That is annoying to see one useless research in my research tab. And I should research it to feel myself better and get new tech level (A-A-A-RGH!). But I don't want to research it because that is cheating =_=...
2. Why should I see useless and cheat things in my building panel?
3. That's why I asked about mod's setting and option to hide that generators. If that is TOO HARD for modmaker - lite version please.
4. About "with not using it?". That's great! Some people are not using their brain even now and that is the greatest idea ever been (no)! They are trying to undestand something without brain but they can't because their brain is still off. That's why they are asking other people do something they do usually.

If that is ok for you - great! But not for me.
InFeaRn0 21 Sep, 2021 @ 5:57am
@Reisen Abe

What's wrong with not using it? It's not so problematic as having two different mods that add similar recipes for example for medicine))
Ba Leon Ig 21 Sep, 2021 @ 5:40am
Quantum Heating / Cooling Generators? That is good, but not for me. What about option to hide it in mod's settings or create a lite version?

Right now a have to comment lines 43-54 in "ResearchProjects_Quantum" file to hide it in my researches (still enable in god mode).
InFeaRn0 19 Sep, 2021 @ 5:27pm
Looks like I have problem with coolers like others. They start to work at low efficiency for some reason while temp around is not near target one.

For example I play with Save our Ship 2 mod. There are reeeeeaaally hot rooms there. And Coolers just stop working at some point. Sad. Maybe anyway to force them to work at max power?
terrlerr 9 Aug, 2021 @ 1:38pm
A suggestion: add a combination heating/cooling unit and make a wall-mountable version of each for space constraints.
Lilien 4 Jul, 2021 @ 12:26am
Don't see it mentioned before, but this will require you to unsubscribe from the original. You've kept the mod ID from Alaestor so the mod list will not pick up this new subscription as long as the old one is using the ID.
Jeremie 27 Jun, 2021 @ 12:09am
Oh, i see it, it's on the power tab .
Jeremie 26 Jun, 2021 @ 11:41pm
i cannot find the "Quantum Cooling Generator"
[JdG] Pejman 9 Jun, 2021 @ 5:12am
you should add a cooler that produce "entropy canister" while it works, you can use the canister to power up turrets or make shells to throw on enemies with devastating effect :O
MapleSierrap 26 May, 2021 @ 5:55am
Hi, since you're accepting suggestions, I think it would be really cool if there were down scaled versions of the power-generating temperature regulators for space limited buildings, obviously it would be weaker but that's the cost of being more compact in size.

OptimusPrimordial 22 Mar, 2021 @ 6:42pm
I built quantum cooling generators and set them to -100 to keep my nuclear reactor cold. Everyone died.
radioastronomy 15 Mar, 2021 @ 5:42pm
Same issue as JagdCrab, after a while the Quantum Heating Generators stop producing heat. They produce maximum power just no heat and always show Low output. Tried setting them to a very high target temperature but they still stay at Low output. Eg. Put one in a room and set the target temperature to 21, outside temperature at -10. Room temperature drops to -10. Drop a vanilla heater in the same room and the temperature goes up to 21. The Quantum Heating Generator is connected to the grid and is producing power, just not producing heat.
BLAZEPK 6 Mar, 2021 @ 10:04am
The temperature control of Quantum Cooling Generator does not work at all.
Poet  [author] 28 Feb, 2021 @ 12:25pm
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix or bypass the issues I've mentioned, feel free to post them here. I've been working on mods for another game so far, I'm returning to my Rimworld stuff in a week or two.
Poet  [author] 28 Feb, 2021 @ 12:22pm
@Three Headed Monkey™ I'm not a coder so changing the efficiency / amount of generated power based on surrounding temperature is currently beyond me, my hand is forced. I have to depend on vanilla mechanics for now, instead.

This also means that the generators will have to detect a more significant temp difference to generate the full 2500 watts, otherwise they might just default to an idle state, only producing 250 watts. This is basically the same how other temp regulation buildings function, they only work when they have to "work" themselves to reach a certain temperature goal.

The generators either give off "positive" (heat) energy and "negative" (cold) energy all the time, regardless of the set dials / target temperature. This might be the reason why those temp settings feel so finicky or feel like they aren't working sometimes. I'll see if I can remove the ability to adjust temps altogether, since they cause more trouble than they're worth.
Three Headed Monkey™ 28 Feb, 2021 @ 9:32am
Addendum, as I cannot change my posting: I assumed that the cooling generator only emits electricity when the temperature of the environment is above the target temperature, or vice versa for the heating generator. It also irritated me that the same voltage is always generated regardless of the difference in temperature (more to cool / to heat = more power generation).
Three Headed Monkey™ 28 Feb, 2021 @ 9:07am
Thanks for your Mod, it's great for Mountain Bases!

That might be a stupid question, but what is the difference between the two generators? The outside temperature on my map is around 35°C, and both generators deliver the same amount of W when target temperature is 21°C. To test, I set up both generators outside with a suitable distance. A generator would be too big for me indoors, hence the test outside :)
CSTG-LXG 27 Feb, 2021 @ 12:50am
good
JagdCrab 20 Feb, 2021 @ 6:04pm
At some point large coolers and generators ignore surroundings (always in low mode, and outputting 2500w disregarding surrounding temperature). Haven't found any way to get them working again (rebuilding, flipping on and off, etc)
Ltc. Frost 14 Feb, 2021 @ 2:10pm
Fine work, but I don't like it
Azarak 3 Feb, 2021 @ 9:39pm
I just recently built the Quantum Cooling Generator, set it the proper temperature for my freezer, and it's not working. It's not keeping the temperature down at all. The temperature just went up, and I had to put back my small quantum cooler in there. Do you know what could be the problem?
Syrett 1 Feb, 2021 @ 11:33am

Already working on that compatibility. I'll release an update soon with some SoS 2 stuff, as well.
Lotus Elise 19 Jan, 2021 @ 1:40am
Can you make your mod compatible with Proxy Heat?
Skwalla 14 Jan, 2021 @ 9:29am
what if you make Quantum Cooling as radiator replacement for Sos2? way use heatsink when you have quantum mechanics
